Anyone that is a foodie in San Francisco knows Dosa. They have two locations in SF and just recently launched in Oakland. Founded by Anjan and Emily Gupta, Dosa is an Indian Restaurant adored by anyone that has ever visited! I had the pleasure of interviewing Owner Anjan Mitra a few years ago which was a blast. There has been some excitement at Dosa recently as they brought on a new Chef, Arun Gupta from New York to lead the Dosa culinary team. Arun Gupta came to San Francisco from New York where we was at well known and respected Gramery Tavern (one of my favorite’s from my NYC dining days). He is super friendly, talented and is eager to settle into San Francisco and add his own touch and flare to Dosa. During my visit I got to see him to just that. With the new menu and additions he has brought to Dosa it feels updated, with some exciting new dishes Chef Arun has added to the already fabulous menu. Chef Arun Gupta. He literally smiles that much even when he’s working. During my visit to experience Arun’s new menu additions, he was all smiles as brought over dishes for us to try and could not have been more informative sharing ingredients and background about what he added to the menu and how it made sense for this Indian restaurant.
