Where is George the Salon and why visit: George, the Salon is located in Chicago’s Gold Coast. It’s literally a block away from Michigan Avenue and Oak Street, conveniently located just around the corner from another Chicago gem, Fig & Olive.  After visiting the Salon for the first time I have to say I was impressed with the intimate salon vibe, with in the high-end luxurious salon setting.   You may think since this is a Salon they only do hair, however, I visited for a Facial which was exceptional and something I recommend to others looking for a boutique salon setting with a luxurious experience you will adore!! 945 N Rush St, Chicago, IL 60611.

What was the facial experience like: The facial I enjoyed was done by the Salon’s Aesthetician Lindsey who was amazing. She was beyond knowledgeable and helpful answering questions I had as she applied various creams and did different techniques. She offers a customized facial for each client based on their skin, their preferences, time allocated, and their needs. It truly feels like a high end pampering session all about you! The Steps of The Antigravity Facial I enjoyed: We started with a Pre Cleanse (with lavish facial oil) followed by a Cleanse. Stephanie then did a Skin Analysis assessing my needs, skin type…. This was followed by an Exfoliation (with a Mocha Locha product which smelled and felt incredible). She followed that with Microcurrent (extracting dead build up and debris from pores) then Extractions (always my favorite to really deep clean the skin and get rid of the black heads).  We then did a Mask (Cool Lychee Wa) and a Facial Massage (with Lavish Facial Oil). As if my face didn’t feel heavenly enough, she followed up with the Antigravity Machine, a combination of Light Therapy (alarm clock for cells) that stimulates the reproduction of natural collegian and elasticity to the skin. The radio frequency stimulates the muscles for toning and tightening the skin. The micro current stimulates lymph to detox and brighten tone as well as pushing the product deeper into the skin then concluding with a hydrating  masque cooling off with Dense Water. Overall, I loved the treatment and my skin felt and looked incredible after my visit.  I would recommend visiting George the Salon if you want a high quality, luxurious experience in an intimate boutique setting. Also with it’s great Gold Coast location you can meet friends after to shop, or grab a bite and continue your ladies of leisure day.
