England: London, Culinary & Cheese Markets

London, England delicious Culinary & Cheese Markets.

For those who know me, they know London is one of my favorite cities. I spent 3.5 months studying abroad there in college and ever since I was a kid I’ve been fortunate enough to visit London multiple times en route to Oslo Norway (where my Mom’s family is from).

Most recently one of my best friends from college Lisa moved to London. As soon as she moved I promised I’d visit yearly so since  then, I have a local Londoner’s expertise to guide me. My suggestions are a combination of multiple visits as a tourist and the spots I loved as a local. It’s crazy it took over 10 visits to be lucky enough to visit their Culinary & Cheese Markets including Borough Market & Neal’s Yard. Thanks again to my local tour guide Gabriel for the fabulous sight-seeing destinations!

Borough Market – This is the coolest farmer’s market I’ve ever been to. I just learned about this on my most recent visit when I went to see my dear friend Lisa who moved from NYC to London. This place is great! Whether  you have some time to kill and want to walk around and see local farmers, you’re hungry and want a snack, or you just want to experience some English culture. This is definitely a MUST do!! 8 Southwark Street. London SE1 1TL. England.

Neal’s Yard – This is hards down one of the best cheese spots. I’ve never seen so much cheese and such nice people who let you taste it all!! Every time I’m in London this and Borough Market are essentials. Come with an appetite or a craving for cheese. 2 Locations: 6 Park Street, Borough Market or 17 Shorts Gardens, Covent Garden.
