Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint was the first stop on my culinary adventure during a recent visit to Nashville. Jenney, my amazing hostess knows how much I love BBQ and being a Martin myself (no relation to the BBQ owner) it was only fitting to check them out.

The restaurant is beyond charming. We went on a weeknight and it was pretty crowded. It’s a casual vibe, you order and seat yourself. They offer beer and wine and the staff is very friendly. As expected the food was great. The Pulled Pork, Cole Slaw and fries were my favorites. The ribs were good, however, I prefer a softer fall off the bone style and these are not like that. These ribs are firmer stiffer meat. I loved the BBQ sauce, but just missed the tender fall off the meat I love so much. The fries were DIVINE. They were just how I like them, cooked well done, with a golden delicious finish and crispy taste to them. The Cole Slaw was also wonderful. I recommend putting the cole-slaw on your Pulled Pork Sandwich, what a perfect pairing.
