With Mother’s Day less than a week away I wanted to share some great Mother’s Day Dining In Oakland options. For those of you with Mother’s out of town I also have some great Mother’s Day Gifting ideas to share with you too!

A16 Rockridge – A16 Rockridge will offer a special brunch and dinner this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10. The festive menus from Executive Chef Rocky Maselli will includeBuckwheat Crespelle with smoked trout, spinach, and fried egg for brunch and Tiella Pugliese – a rice, potato and mussel casserole baked in the wood fired oven – for dinner. Specialty cocktail and dessert options will be offered in addition to wine selections from Co-Owner/Wine Director Shelley Lindgren and moms will also be gifted with special house made treats to take home. A16 Rockridge will serve brunch from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and dinner from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. Reservations can be made by visiting online or calling 510.768.8003.

Hopsctoch – The Uptown Oakland hotspot, Hopscotch, will be opening early for mom’s and starting brunch at 9:30 a.m.  Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Kyle Itani, and Beverage Director/Co-Owner, Jenny Schwarz, will be serving popular brunch dishes such as the Kimchee Fried Rice & Shoyu Eggs with jidori eggs, green onions and if you’re feeling up for it, add pork belly ($12/$16) or the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Biscuits with scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and a green salad ($18). plank – At plank in Oakland, guests can enjoy bowling, bocce, and arcade games galore while sampling more than 50 local draft beers on tap and fresh Californian cuisine.  On Mother’s Day, the 50,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor entertainment space will host Moms Play Too: with any purchase of $10 or more, moms will receive a $5 game card to enjoy with their loved ones.
