A16 Rockridge – Welcome 2016 at Oakland’s A16 location with the most delectable culinary treats that the season has to offer as part of a multi-course, prix-fixe menu from Chef Rocky Maselli. Guests will have the option to choose from three selections within each course and will of course be guaranteed the requisite lentils for good fortune. Celebrated Wine Director/Owner Shelley Lindgren will offer optional wine pairings and the menu will be $100 per person with dishes including Seared Foie Gras with huckleberry saba and panettone toast and a Mixed Roast ofStemple Ranch Beef, Devil’s Gulch Rabbit Sausage and Don Watson Lamb withbruschetta and salsa verde. plank – Lace up your bowling shoes and head over to plank in Oakland’s Jack London Square, for a fun, festive atmosphere on December 31st.  With two different events from which to choose, guests have the option to celebrate with the whole family or make it a night on the town. The celebrations kick off with the Noon Year’s Eve party from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  For $30 per person ($35 at the door), guests will enjoy: $20 game card, Balloon drop, Apple cider toast, DJ / Karaoke,  One time entry buffet to nibble on pork sliders, house salad, pizza station, chicken tenders and fries. Tickets for Noon Year’s Eve are available here.

Wente Vineyards – Ring in the New Year at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards with a four course meal for $95 per person ($40 additional with wine pairings).  Enjoy favorite like Ricotta Gnochi with mushroom, leek, fall truffle cream, lemon, and parmesan; 38 North Chicken Breast  with apple buckwheat, walnuts, sun-dried cherries, eggplant puree, and garden greens; or the 10 oz NY Strip with crispy brussels sprouts, beef pastrami, fingerling potatoes, and celery root puree.
