Ram’s Gate Winery, Sonoma California

Now that I’m officially a Californian (as of September, 2014) I’m enjoying the regular perks of living less than an hour from Wine Country. I head to Wine Country as frequently as possible and I have a list of my favorite Top 10 California Wineries that I frequent. Ram’s Gate Winery is one of those favorites and is the closest Winery to San Francisco. It’s about 35-40 minutes from the Winery to the Golden Gate Bridge.  As a Ram’s Gate Winery Wine Club Member, I’ve hosted many friends and family and everyone falls in love with Ram’s Gate!  Not only is the winery gorgeous, imagine a grander version of a Restoration Hardware store, but their wine is amazing! Win-win. My favorites are their extremely rich buttery Chardonnays  and their delicious fruity full-body Pinot Noirs.  I love all the interesting rooms and member’s only spaces available including an outdoor fire pit and a member’s only living room lounge area (which has been handy for various Bachelorette Parties and Birthday Parties).  The general public spaces are also gorgeous including the long sexy bar and the great outdoor seating areas.  Apparently The JetSetting Fashionista and Fodors have similar taste as Rams Gate was recently mentioned in Fodor’s Where To Eat and Drink in California Now!

Definitely visit Ram’s Gate during any Wine Country visit and you will not be disappointed. After enjoying some delicious wine be sure to grab a bite at one of my favorite Sonoma Restaurants, Fremont Diner. 28700 Arnold Dr, Sonoma, CA. (707) 721-8700.

The Member’s Only Rooms – As a Ram’s Gate Wine Club member the Library and outside Fire Pit are spaces you have access to. Quite a lovely perk that I’ve taken advantage of for birthday and bachelorette parties!

Scribe is definitely on my list, but Benziger is usually my old faithful when I hit up Sonoma on the weekends!

Ram’s Gate has the most stunning views of the Sonoma Valley and is such an easy drive from SF! I love the inside/outside flow, complete with fireplaces and cozy blankets for colder months and great shade for the hotter seasons!

Julie, glad to hear you’re also a Rams Gate fan. You’re right, the views, close proximity to SF, and cozy atmosphere make it fabulous. That and their DELICIOUS Wine!!

Loved Scribe! It’s definitely on the top of my consideration list for joining a wine club. And your pictures of Ram’s Gate really capture how amazing it looks in person!
