The stunning restaurant interior decor. I love the modern cool chic vibe with the worn in light fixtures and aged interior beams

During my recent dinner to 398 I was quite impressed with the vibe of 398 Brasserie as well as the delicious food.  I went with Madison (another JSF team member) and to start we enjoyed a Shrimp Salad & Cauliflower Soup. Both were fabulous. Ever since my child hood trips to Norway I’m obsessed with Cauliflower Soup which was a comfort food we ate frequently on the family farm.  Because of this whenever I see a Cauliflower Soup on the menu I’m curious to try it and see how it measures up. The creamier and richer the better, and 398’s was divine.  For our mains, we shared the Roasted Poussin, Filet Mignon and Mashed Potatoes, a perfect combination of dishes.

Our gorgeous dinner spread: The Whole Roasted Poussin with Rosemary & Thyme, Filet Mignon, Shrimp Salad Green Goddess with Avocado & Little Gems, Mashed Potatoes and Cauliflower Soup. Amazingly delicious!

The Whole Roasted Poussin was spectacular. It was stuffed with vegetables similar to a stuffed Turkey (another favorite dish of mine). It was extremely juicy with amazing herbs and flavor!

Overall, I found the dining experience wonderful.  The restaurant’s gorgeous interior, plus their friendly attentive staff and the amazing food make for a great destination. I recommend you try 398 Restaurant and see for yourself. 398 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102. (415) 654-5061. Select photos courtesy of 398 Restaurant.
