California: San Diego Carlsbad (La Costa Resort) Where To Stay & Other Must Do’s

One of my dear friend’s Lindsay, aka The Lunch Belle’s parents have a place outside San Diego in Carlsbad, California. After hearing what great weather San Diego had and what a fabulous place La Costa Resort was (where there house is) I was excited for my first of what became many visits.  After visiting I couldn’t believe how heavenly La Costa Resort was to visit! I highly recommend it.

La Costa Resort – This is the Resort community Lindsay’s parent’s houses are located. It’s fabulous as it has both houses, condo’s and a hotel for visitors. Highlights of the Resort include:

  • La Chopra Yoga Center
  • Gym & Activity Center with various classes
  • Golf Course
  • Starbucks Cafe (always a must have for Starbucks addicts)
  • Various Restaurants & Fine Dining
  • Various Pools, Hot Tubs & children’s Pools
  • Spa (see Spa section below for more details)

La Costa Spa – This is the amazing Spa within La Costa Resort. Lindsay, aka The Lunch Belle and her family have a tradition of visiting the spa during most visits to their parents (since the girls live in other cities not San Diego). As a guest with the family, I quickly acclimated to this fabulous routine. What was NOT to love about this spa! It is centrally located near the Hotel, Restaurant’s and within walking distance to Lindsay’s parents house.  We normally have an early appointment so we can spend the day at the Spa’s Pool, enjoy their delicious Lunch Cafe, and make a Spa Day of it.  The Spa includes all of the below (for Spa Guests only).

  • Spa Treatments
  • Indoor/outdoor Hot Tubs
  • Sauna & Steam Room
  • Outdoor Hot Water Rainfall Treatment
  • Spa Cafe with delicious healthy options

Casa Feinberg – I was lucky to be hosted by Lindsay’s Family who have two very large places which are ideally connected to each other. There’s an adult house and a kid’s house, pretty great!  It’s fabulous to visit, and I’m lucky to have been more than once and hopefully return again in the future. Thanks again Feinberg’s!!  XO your third daughter
