My Spectacular UTV Ride at The Inn at Newport Ranch

The Inn at Newport Ranch

Getting ready to depart for our UTV Ride at The Inn at Newport Ranch. I’ve never been on an ATV Ride at a hotel so I was beyond excited. Even it was a bit rainy, cold and damp that makes the adventure even more exciting!

I wasn’t kidding when I said we dressed for the weather. I don’t remember the last time I was in a full rain suit and of course my Hunter Rain Boots, a hat, and gloves.  Regardless I would not trade this memorable, beautiful, and fun experience for a seat by a warm cozy fire (which is just where I went after the ATV ride).

Me and Inn at Newport Ranch Owner, Will Jackson. He was the most insightful member on the trip sharing historical information about when he first bought the land where the Inn at Newport Ranch currently resides. He was living in Manhattan New York and saw the listing in the Wall Street Journal. At the time he said 100 acres was the same price as one acre on the Hampton’s and he had a friend come out and look at the land for him. He decided to purchase the land and slowly his family bought more and more of the surrounding land both on the oceanfront side, and across the street leading into the woods (which we tour later on the ride). It’s pretty unusual to get to spend a few hours with a family member who owns such a fabulous Inn and hear the story straight from their mouth. A huge thanks to Will for his energy, amazing insight and genuine interest in his guests and for showing them the most amazing time at The Inn at Newport Ranch.

Views from the tour of a Cow’s skull. The story was that the two cows were fighting and one rammed the other off the steep cliff….

One of the most beautiful little beach alcoves we saw on the tour. When I come back to Fort Bragg for my next visit (hopefully during the summer) I can’t wait to swim in this spectacular swimming nook. Will said he would like to build a staircase so his guests can get down vs. climb the rocky terrain. Maybe when I’m back there will be stairs!

The highlight of my ride was capturing this shot of this guy. He looks quite friendly but he was super big and didn’t seem to love me getting so close to take this stunning shot!

Another amazing perk The Inn at Newport Ranch offers guests are stunning benches and look out spots like this through the Ranch to sit, relax and take in the spectacular views.

What’s more fitting than being welcomed back to the Ranch with a warm lunch. The team whipped up these grilled cheese sandwiches for us to enjoy after the magical ride.
