Where Is The Hotel & Spa: The hotel is situated at the base of Ajax Mountain and is gorgeous. I have never stayed at the hotel unfortunately, the closest I’ve come is the Spa and I really did not want to leave.
Why go: For my first of what has since been many visits to Aspen I consistently heard that I must check out the St. Regis Hotel’s Remedie Spa. The St. Regis Hotel is gorgeous, located at the base of Ajax Mountain. I had passed through the hotel during my first Aspen visit with serious hotel envy, so I made sure for my second visit to Aspen I planned ahead with a Spa Day!
What makes it so amazing! This is the most spectacular Spa I’ve ever experienced. What makes is so special? For starters, I’m not the only one that thinks so. It has been voted #1 Spa in the World by Travel + Leisure which is quite an honor. What set it apart for me was not only the service but the over the top amenities including an Oxygen Relaxation Room where you are taken after your treatment to relax and be plugged into an Oxygen tank. I had never done this so of course tried it out. While getting the “oxygen treatment” you’re also served a glass of champagne. It’s little touches like this on top of amazing treatments and service that put The St. Regis Remedia Spa in a league of it’s own to me. Also note with any treatment With a Spa Treatment you have access to all the Spa Facilities: Hot Tub, Sauna, Steam Room, and my favorite part was the Oxygen Lounge.
Why was the Spa so fabulous: It was fabulous!! With a Spa Treatment you have access to all the Spa Facilities: Hot Tub, Sauna, Steam Room, and my favorite part was the Oxygen Lounge. After my massage I was given a glass of bubbly and an Oxygen Mask while relaxing in a dark peaceful room to help with the Altitude. I didn’t really seem to notice a difference in the Oxygen but the relaxing Champagne and peaceful room post treatment was delightful. I didn’t want to leave. I recommend the St. Regis Spa during any Aspen Ski or Summer visit!! 315 E Dean St, Aspen, CO 81611. 970-920-3300.
