Where Is Torc Restaurant: Torc Restaurant is one of the Best Napa Restaurants I have enjoyed! It’s located in downtown Napa. 1140 Main Street, Napa CA. 94559. 707-252-3292.
What is the restaurant vibe: The restaurant has a very chill laid back setting. It has a gorgeous loft like interior (shown below) and a fabulous large bar which is perfect for a drink or dining. I dined at the bar as I wanted to have a view of the entire restaurant plus the open kitchen and I highly recommend it for an engaging dining experience with panoramic restaurant views.
What is the food and cuisine like: Torc’s menu focuses on the region’s bountiful selection of fresh products and the relationships with the people that produce, forage, and glean them. The cuisine is California-esque with a focus on local ingredients with the menu changing based on the seasonality of ingredients and local produce.
What was the food like: The food was delicious, and a spot I would recommend checking out if you’re in Napa. In terms of what we ordered, it was a surprise! Upon arriving we were informed that the Chef wanted to surprise us with a tasting menu (the perks of being a food blogger I guess!). What’s not to love about a dinner that included surprise dishes from the Chef and his team. I quickly realized we were in store for a fabulous treat!
The Farm Fresh Deviled Eggs with a delicious pesto filling. They were described as “the best deviled eggs ever experienced” by my friend Gwyneth who dined with me. That’s quite an accomplishment coming from a San Francisco foodie who has dined extensively.
The delicious Bengali Sweet Potato Pakora with Yogurt-Truffle dip. This was the most incredible dip ever! I wouldn’t let them clear it away as I wanted to enjoy it throughout the meal.
Our server Dana who was fabulous. He also had some amazing Wine pairings, one with each course which was a huge hit for this Wine loving Foodie!
The fresh baked gougeres with cave aged gruyère. Amazing, I recommend two for the table!
The Peekytoe Crab Cocktail with horseradish panna cotta, spicy tomato syrup, meyer lemon. I loved the presentation of this delicious light sea food appetizer. Everything was very flavorful and yummy!
A delicious white crane spring ranch lettuces with shallot, kumquat, creamy orange-miso vinaigrette salad I experienced on my most recent visit back to Torc. So light and flavorful.

The delicious Mac and Cheese I enjoyed during a recent visit back to Torc
Japanese Hamachi Crudo with mouse melon, avocado, chile, watermelon radish, green coriander. This was another yummy appetizer we enjoyed. It was nice and light with gorgeous color and flavor.
For our main entree we enjoyed the Heritage Prochetta with butternut squash, tenbrink farm brussels sprouts, sauce chasseur.
Paired with our entrees Dana surprised us with a Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay. I was thrilled to enjoy this wine as I have had a lot of Hudson Vineyard’s Chardonnay and they are one of my favorite Chardonnays.
The Maine Lobster Risotto with swanton farm cauliflower, spearmint, piment d’espelette. I was ecstatic to try this as I love Lobster. Combining Lobster paired with Risotto and Cauliflower was heavenly. Note, this dish is on the heaver side so if you want something light this isn’t the entree for you. However, if you like Cheese, Risotto and Lobster you will love this deliciousness.
The delicious dessert assortment. The ice creams were unbelievable, a must try!
