Three Twins Ice Cream

What: The Bay Area-based pioneer of inconceivably delicious organic ice cream celebrates 2015 SF PRIDE weekend with their signature LGBT-inspired flavors including Hot Cookie and Dorothy’s Ruby Slipper. The festive flavors are available throughout PRIDE weekend at the Three Twins Ice Cream’s Fillmore scoop shop.

As a LGBT activist, Three Twins’ founding twin, Neal Gottlieb looks forward to this annual weekend and takes pride in offering these fun flavors at his scoop shops every year. In 2014, Gottlieb went as far as planting a gay pride flag at the top of Uganda’s highest peak in protest of the country’s criminalization of homosexuality.

Ice cream lovers are invited to stop by the shop any time between 11am and 10pm during PRIDE weekend and indulge in the one-of-a-kind flavors before they are gone. One scoop is $2.50 and two scoops are $3.50, while supplies last.

2015 SF PRIDE Flavors include the below options.

I previewed the below flavors earlier this week at a press preview and wanted to share my thoughts on the flavors. It is my job to guide you on the best eats in the city so here you go……

Three Twins Ice Cream

Hot Cookie (Vanilla with cookies) This is great, as yummy as it sounds with hot cookies blended into the delicious creamy vanilla flavor.

Brownie Batter Hunk (Brownie Batter Chunk) Typically I’m a Chocolate Ice Cream girl… So, for those craving Chocolate this may be the perfect flavor for you!

Bear Bait (Honey ice cream with peanut butter cups) This was one of my favorites and I ended up with a scoop of this. It’s hard to go wrong with anything involving peanut butter cups!

Matcha Matcha Man (Green tea) Just like it sounds, this is a traditional green tea flavor. I learned the green tea is always a very popular flavor so order early before they sell out.

Gay Vanilla (Pink vanilla with beet juice) The Three Twins Vanilla is heavenly so why not add a fun pink twist to it.

Maple Stonewall-Nut (Maple walnut) For those wanting a nice nutty option, here it is!

Two Tops Don’t Make a Bottom (Vanilla ice cream with muffin tops) For any muffin lovers you will adore this fun creation blended with the rich and creamy vanilla flavor.

Dorothy’s Ruby Slipper (Raspberry sorbet) Yummy, such a refreshing fruity taste.

Freedom to Marry Cherry (Cherry Chocolate Chunk) I didn’t get to taste this so I can’t share any thoughts. Keep me posted what you think!

Harvey Milk and Honey (Land of Milk and Honey) This has a lighter taste to it with the rich Milk and smooth Honey.

Laverne Cox’s Chocolate Orange is the New Black (Chocolate Orange Confetti) This was great. The orange paired nicely with the chocolate providing a very rich luxurious taste.

Daddy Cardamom (Dad’s Cardamom) This was quite exotic with a Chai Tea Taste to it. Not my favorite, but I imagine Chai Tea lovers would enjoy this!

Three Twins Ice Cream

After tasting all the Pride Flavors I landed on the Pride Vanilla and Bear Bait (the Peanut Butter Cup one). Both were amazing and I highly recommend you go to the shop and enjoy some Three Twins Pride Flavors for yourself this weekend.
