Where is the Resort: The Allegretto Vineyard Resort is located in California’s Central Coast in Paso Robles aka “Paso”. It is centrally located about 5 minutes (or 2 miles) from downtown Paso Robles and 10-15 minutes from various wineries, depending if you go to the East or West side of Paso Robles. Note, Paso is divided by Highway 101 so depending which side you’re on determines “East” or “West” side of Paso Robles.
What should you expect: The Resort evokes an atmosphere that feels European, as if you’re in Italy. There is no detail forgotten starting with your arrival and pleasant greeting from the Bell men to the seamless check in and welcome from the team. The team does a great job of very attentive service and sharing the high-end experience guests expect when visiting a four or five star resort. They describe it best “Immerse yourself in the beauty of a European-inspired resort, a peaceful escape that blends the charm of California’s Central Coast and the Mediterranean…all set within the scenic beauty of lush, rolling hills and Central Coast skies.”
The Bocce Court just another amenity available for guests
What is the size of the Resort: It’s quite small, with a very intimate feel to it. There are 171 guest rooms, suites, private terrazzas. There is a Vineyard, Pool, Spa, Restaurant…. really everything you would need or want at a Luxury Resort. When I visited they were still launching the “soft opening” so I’d imagine there is even more for the guests to experience as the hotel opens to the public.
The spectacular Lobby designed with a strong Italian influence. Take note of the beautiful chandelier and all the subtle architectural touches making you feel as if you’re in Italy on vacation
How are the hotel rooms: The rooms are fabulous. There are a variety of rooms overlooking the Courtyard (which is where I stayed), with views of the Vineyard…. Read more about the Allegretto Hotel rooms which you’ll never want to leave here…..
The hotel has a variety of art, most coming from the Ayres Family personal collection. This is a historic tree check out the enormous size of the trunk. Pretty cool piece of art to enjoy in the sitting room (sitting room shown below).
The sitting room off the lobby overlooking the spectacular interior terrace (which some guest rooms overlook unless they have Vineyard views)
The beautiful Courtyard
This courtyard is really spectacular, you can enjoy dining or drinks as well as just relax and hang out at the Fire Pit. There are also historic Vineyard Vines (shown behind the Fire Pits) all of these touches make you feel as if you’re in an old Inn in Italy. This was the goal of the Hotel’s design to evoke that older, historic atmosphere.

The Cello Restaurant located in the hotel with fabulous Northern Italian Food from talented Chef Eric Wilson
Yet another one of the amazing touches of historic architecture in the hotel
The Gym which has become my standard for any gym in Wine Country. Who doesn’t want to work out looking at the Vineyards! It certainly motived me during my stay to hit the gym!
The “Romeo & Juliet” tunnel leading from the Courtyard to the Pool which overlooks the Vineyards. It truly is spectacular….
