Splitting my time between Wine Country (Sonoma & Napa) and San Francisco, I am no stranger to downtown Sonoma. If you’ve never been, you are in for a treat. Downtown Sonoma has some of the best dining in California. With so many fantastic options to choose from, I am going to be sharing my top Sonoma Dining recommendations of where you should grab a bite!

Della Santina’s

Della Santina’s has THE best Italian food on the downtown Sonoma dining scene. With an authentic yet innovative menu, there is something for every type of eater at this gorgeous trattoria. Dining here feels like spending an evening in Tuscany. 133 E Napa St, Sonoma, CA 95476

When I visited Della Santina’s I was told their pasta is to die for. After having Lasagne and another pasta I can see why. Be sure to order Pasta when dining here it’s amazing!

El Dorado Kitchen

Next up, El Dorado Kitchen. California inspired farm-to-table cuisine make this restaurant a perfect representation of Downtown Sonoma. Their menu currently includes items like the beautiful beet salad and carbonara (shown below), but is always changing thanks to their talented chef, Armando Navarro. the girl & the fig

The girl & the fig is an iconic Sonoma restaurant. Their food is both comforting and refined. Sondra Bernstein accurately describes their food as “Country food with a French passion”. Sunflower CaffĂŠ

Right in the Sonoma Plaza, you can find this absolute gem, Sunflower CaffĂŠ. Offering the most delicious breakfast, lunch, and brunch, you will leave this place immediately wanting to go back for more. Check out their banana cream pie waffle, tomato soup with grilled cheese, and avocado toast in the photos below. Is your mouth watering yet? Taub Family Outpost

Taub Family Outpost is a delicious restaurant in the Sonoma area that you must try. Their menu is so unique and diverse, since it has a full service restaurant, tasting room, retail market, and cocktail bar. So much for you to enjoy at this popular hot spot.
