Kendall Jackson Estate’s Reserve Wine & Food Pairing

I have to say, I feel like a pretty lucky girl when I get invited by my pal Michael (in the K.J. Business Development Team) for a day of Wine Tasting with the Kendall Jackson Family. By family, I mean visiting a few of their various wineries hosted by the various wineries they own, not Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Jackson themselves! I had the pleasure of visiting The Kendall Jackson Estate to experience their Reserve Wine & Food Pairing. For a Foodie and Wine lover, this was a dream come true. Not only was I invited as their guest (meaning I was treated to the delicious pairing thanks again fabulous hosts), but I was able to bring two friends to join in on the fun. Upon arriving, me, Sean of PunkedDomestics and his husband Paul were greeted with a delicious glass of Rose.  My kind of start to any meal! We relaxed for a few minutes in the foyer and then were taken into the dining room for the Reserve Wine & Food Pairing.

The menu included a seven course pairing created by Chef Justin Wangler focusing on the winery’s small-production, limited release wines.  The cost is $35 per person (25% off for Club Members). You may think this reasonable price is a typo, however,  it is not. The brilliance of the Kendall Jackson Estate’s Reserve Wine & Food Pairing is how accessible it is both in pricing and that they offer it to the public. This is fairly unique, as many wineries limit food or tastings to member’s only such as a Food & Wine Pairing I experienced at Rams Gate Winery (a fabulous Sonoma winery I adore).  To make an appointment for the fabulous Kendall Jackson Estate’s Reserve Wine & Food Pairing contact the Tasting Room Scheduling Desk at 707.576.3810.

What was amazing about this tasting was that with each course there was a wine pairing. I found the food delicious, the Sweet Tea Brined Niman Ranch Pork Belly Slider and the Lamb Sugo with Creamy Polenta and Bellwether Farms Pepato were my favorite of the mains. Of course their wine pairings really brought out both the flavor in the Food and Wine, probably why I fell in love with both. For dessert I was obsessed with the Caramel Corn. So much that I finished it before we left the table. As evident, both the Wine & Food are quite fabulous at the Kendall Jackson Estate Wine & Food Pairing. I highly recommend experiencing it and seeing what you think for yourself. We were also told that the estate gardens are phenomenal (it was too windy when I visited). So, prepare yourselves for a lovely stroll in the garden after your visit. Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens. 5007 Fulton Road. Fulton, CA 95439.
