For those of you who know me you will know that I LOVE racing cars, or at least driving them fast and pretending that I’m racing. So you can imagine my excitement when I planned Spring Break to Palm Springs with my family and learned there is a BMW Performance School in the area!! This mini BMW car is so cute, I was tempted to get it for my nephews too bad I probably couldn’t fit it on the plane back with me to San Francisco or I I would bought it!

It’s official, this is happening…. I was so so excited for this driving school which I had heard so much about but never attended.

Driving school is about to begin. These are the four cars I drove during the experience. I was told that typically there are about 12 guests for the two-hour class. I was alone so I got an entire two-hours to drive these cars as much as I could. And, besides a water & bathroom break I spent the entire two hours driving and learning how to handle these cars on the incredible race track. What an amazing experience, I had so much fun!

Before I can drive alone I am taken on an instructional lap following my instructor Kyle. He is on a radio telling me where to break, slow down, and speed up on the track so when I do my next lap solo I can prepared for how to drive and optimize this amazing BMW on this fun driving course!

My instructor Kyle who was great. He was extremely patient, informative guiding me for each lap on the radio (in the car I was in) and him outside of the car coaching.

At the end of the two-hour class you conclude with a timed lap around the race track. I was able to do this four times, with a time each time so you can try to improve your time and get better with each lap. This was hands down the most fun part about BMW Performance Driving class.  Watch my timed race track video below.
