The Best Lobster Rolls in San Francisco

Ever since my days living in New York and summering in Montauk I have a great love for lobster rolls. And, if you’re wondering what the best lobster roll in Montauk is, it’s Duryea’s (read more about Duryea’s here). To me, a Lobster Roll is an iconic East Coast summer eat. Just because I’m a California girl now doesn’t mean I have to give up this indulgent eat. I have scoured the city to find The Best Lobster Rolls in San Francisco and here is my list…. If you have any recommendations, please let me know as I’d love to make this a Top 10 list but currently don’t have enough material for that!

Waterbar

For those of you who love Waterbar’s amazing views, great food, and awesome service, visit this spot on Fridays to experience one of The Best Lobster Rolls in San Francisco. Make sure you go early as they make a limited amount and they are amazing. They make their roll more traditionally (meaning not much fess, so you can truly taste the lobster which is how I like my rolls) with some tasty butter and, of course, fries on the side. I went on my birthday, which in 2016 luckily landed on a Friday, and it was the perfect way to start my day. Thanks Chef Parke and team for the delicious lobster roll. 399 The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94105

Leo’s Oyster Bar

Leo’s Oyster Bar may sound familiar as it is on my Top 10 Power Lunch list (read more hereleo’), but they also have one of The Best Lobster Rolls in San Francisco. What sets their lobster roll apart is their outstandingly delicious roll, plus tasty Lobster, and swanky setting. I personally need fries with a lobster roll, so I recommend ordering some on the side.  568 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94111.

Spruce

For those looking for a more over the top lobster roll, I recommend you check out SpruceThey recently changed the menu and the lobster roll now includes caviar and an avocado like aioli. It’s definitely rich, so if you prefer a lighter roll this may not be your cup of tea. However, it is quite decadent and delicious if you’re hungry. And, of course, as always at Spruce, save room for their incredible french fries. If you’re not familiar with Spruce read more about them on my Top 10 San Francisco Burgers post here3640 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94118
