Continue reading below to see my recommendations for the best hotels in Mendocino, and start planning your dream stay!
Blue Door Inn
The Blue Door Inn is definitely a Mendocino hotel worth booking a trip to. This stunning inn earned its spot on my list of the best hotels in Mendocino when I visited because of its fabulous accommodations and adorable oceanic decor. If you would like to read all about my lovely experience with this hotel, feel free to check out my blog post on the Blue Door Inn here!
Their rooms, food, and overall whimsical vibe make this destination a must-see.
Brewery Gulch Inn
I have had the privilege of visiting the Brewery Gulch Inn four times during the seven years that I lived in San Francisco. There is a reason this gem has both a spot on my list of the best hotels in Mendocino and a special place in my heart. Delicious dining, rejuvenating hikes, rustic decor, and impressive wines are all part of the Brewery Gulch experience. If you’re interested, there is much more information about this hidden treasure in my Brewery Gulch blog post here.
SCP Mendocino Inn & Farm
I could not make a post about the best hotels in Mendocino without including the The SCP Mendocino Inn & Farm Not only is it rated the best hotel in Mendocino on Trip Advisor, but it’s also adorned with stunning views, sweet treats, luscious gardens, and even lamas! Staying at the The SCP Mendocino Inn & Farmwas such a treat. I share all the information about my time there in my Glendeven Inn blog post here. High tea was served upon my arrival, and I couldn’t have felt happier or more welcome.
The Inn at Newport Ranch
The Inn at Newport Ranch is one of the best hotels in Mendocino for numerous reasons. They have the most stunning views of the coast, an extremely attentive and detailed-oriented staff, and the coziest rooms. If you’d like to read about my stay at The Inn at Newport Ranch in more detail, please take a look at the exclusive blog post I did for them here!
They prepared me a delicious meal that I enjoyed fireside. I felt pampered in every aspect of my stay!
Breathtaking views surround the entire establishment. I could watch the waves crash for hours!
Little River Inn
Little River Inn is about as classic as it gets. This hotel’s gorgeous victorian architecture perfectly captures the spirit of Mendocino and its location on the coast is unmatched! Not only do I have a blog post that goes into detail about my stay at The Little River Inn here but I also have a separate blog post dedicated to their restaurant. If you would like to read about the food, service, and dining experience I received at the Little River Inn Restaurant, refer to the blog post here!
MacCallum House
MacCallum House is a must stay if you’re in the Mendocino area. The Inn is one of the most charming in downtown Mendocino. They have rooms available in their Victorian Guest house as well as more modern recently renovated rooms (where we stayed) that are wonderful. Our room even had it’s own private hot tub on our private patio which was lovely.
Even if you don’t get a chance to stay here be sure to plan a visit to their restaurant for some of the BEST Food in Mendocino. As a guest we enjoyed a delicious breakfast during our stay and dined for dinner one evening which was wonderful. Overall MacCallum House is one of my favorite, go to spots to stay in downtown Mendocino for higher-end updated accommodations, great amenities and an amazing restaurant and bar. 45020 Albion St, Mendocino, CA 95460
Views from our breakfast. Talk about a perfect view of the ocean.
The rooms at this stay are extraordinary, combining a charming home style with luxury.
Not only does the MacCallum House have an amazing breakfast/lunch menu, but the dinner is just a delicious! There’s an extensive wine and cocktail menu here which is a real highlight of the restaurant! They also have a good variety of food to choose from that compliment the drinks and environment perfectly.
