The Ballard Inn & Gathering Table
Read about my stay at The Ballard Inn & Gathering Table a fabulous B & B in California’s Santa Ynez region on the blog here. I also have a blog post here specifically focused on the Gathering Table restaurant. If you plan a visit be sure to make a reservation at their fabulous restaurant, The Gathering Table during your stay. 2436 Baseline Ave, Ballard, CA 93463
Brewery Gulch Inn
Another favorite Inn I’ve stayed at and adored in California’s Mendocino region is The Brewery Gulch Inn. I’d suggest you book at least 3 nights here as it’s quite a drive from San Francisco and the type of place that once you arrive you need at least 3 days to enjoy, decompress, and really enjoy. Read more about The Brewery Gulch Inn on the blog here. 9529, 9401 CA-1, Mendocino, CA 95460
Gorgeous views of Mendocino during a walk. This is one of the most magical regions in California which I love to visit a few times a year to truly unplug and enjoy some R & R.
Enjoying the complimentary Breakfast at The Brewery Gulch Inn. The food was was spectacular you really have no reason to leave the hotel, great food, stunning setting and so so relaxing.
Camellia Inn Healdsburg
For a super authentic, small, family-owned B & B I’d suggest visiting The Camellia Inn Healdsburg. I stayed this summer (August 2020) during COVID and even with the new safety regulations the stay was still lovely. With a super small intimate setting, a super attentive staff, great food (complimentary breakfast daily), and a very hospitable staff this is truly a little Healdsburg gem. 211 North St, Healdsburg, CA 95448
The self-check-in (during COVID) which included a handwritten note and homemade cookies (which were delicious).
Heading to downtown Healdsburg for dinner. See my dining guide to Healdsburg here. Note that the Camellia Inn is dog friendly so little Miss Ernie joined me for this stay!
Little Ms. Ernie loving the gorgeous neighbor’s charming picket fence as we walked to dinner….
Poolside breakfast. Of the day mornings, we enjoyed breakfast each day there was a different homemade entree in addition to fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee, and water. The breakfasts here are very generous, delicious, and great to start a full day of sightseeing or wine tasting. If you’re looking to plan a day of Winetasting in Healdsburg, see my Healdsburg Wine Tasting Guide here or Top 10 Russian River Wineries Guide here.
One of my favorite aspects of the Camelia Inn was the lovely pool in the backyard available for guests during the stay. During my two night stay we spend two afternoons here and it was perfection!
Glendeven Inn & Lodge
This is one of the most charming Inn’s in Mendocino both for their luxurious amenities, the rich history of the historic guest houses and the husband and husband owners who add such a charming element to the guest experience. See more below and read all about The Glendeven Inn & Lodge here.
Enjoying afternoon tea upon arriving to the Glendeven Inn & Lodge.
Feeding the Lama’s dinner which guests can enjoy daily during their stay at The Glendeven Inn & Lodge.
Every evening guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting paired with a delicious small cheese plate. This is yet another fabulous touch the Glendeven Team shares with guests (complimentary). The Owner, John served us (this was pre-COVID) and shared more about his local wine selections which were great. He prides himself on sharing local wines that may be a little less known yet high quality and very interesting.
Noyo Harbor Inn
Another charming Inn in Fort Bragg, California is Noyo Harbor Inn. They’re right on the water with amazing views of the boats and see lions. Their restaurant Noyo Harbor Restaurant is also fabulous with great outdoor seating, delicious food and a great experience.
