The Inn at Newport Ranch. After visiting this special place located on the northern coast of California in Fort Bragg it’s hard to describe how luxurious yet remote and quiet your experience will be here. Combining some of the most stunning Ocean views in California with extremely detailed and attentive service and hospitality, guests are pampered the moment they arrive at The Inn at Newport Ranch. Read about my lovely weekend at The Inn at Newport Ranch below and you’ll be planning a visit soon. When you do, please mention you heard about them through the JSF (I’m guessing you’ll be pampered even more as they took such great care of me during my stay).
Aerial views of the spectacular Inn at Newport Ranch.
This magical destination/Inn is located on 2,000 acres of land along the California coast within Fort Fragg. The property is considered a working ranch with over 200+ cattle who we got to see during my ATV tour of the property.
As you arrive at The Inn at Newport Ranch it’s magical to see the beautiful lodge just steps away from the oceanfront. I arrived a bit later in the evening so woke up on Saturday morning to enjoy these day time views. Truly magical…
Sunset views of the hotel as I arrived Friday evening. This is the perfect destination for a 48-hour getaway from San Franciso. I arrived on Friday by 6 pm just before the sun was setting.
The drive from San Francisco to Fort Bragg is absolutely gorgeous. I partnered with Lexus on this weekend trip and they generously loaned me this brand NEW Lexus UX200 (literally with less than 500 miles on it). This hybrid SUV was perfect for the rainy weather during my drive and the narrow coastal roads I encountered.
Coastal views at Newport Inn at dusk.
The moment I arrived was pure relaxation and bliss. After being greeted in the driveway by the team, they took my bags and welcomed me into The Inn at Newport Ranch. This warm fireplace view was exactly what I needed after a 4-hour drive up. I forgot how warm and inviting a cozy fireplace can be. I spent as much time as possible by every fireplace in the Inn and there were quite a few!
Views of my fire-side dinner which I enjoyed the first night of my stay. I was invited to join a few other guests in the formal dining room (shown below), however, after a long afternoon of traveling I really just loved the idea of cozying up by the fire and eating by myself. I love it that you have this option here. The staff at Inn is really so accommodating trying to make any guest request possible. For a small inn, it’s amazing seeing this level of service. I have to say, the experience here was spectacular, one step ahead of the guest each and every moment.
The Formal Dining Room
Dinner is served to guests and depending on how many guests are at the inn breakfast is also served here.
This was the living room and dining room area where guests could enjoy evening happy hour, breakfast, or in my case, I had dinner by the fire my first night. The windows overlooked the ocean (surprise, surprise) it seems wherever you look you have beautiful ocean views.
The delicious breakfast spread. My first day started buffet style and I enjoyed it with the beautiful morning view of the ocean. Yes, this is as heavenly and relaxing as it looks. This may be a weekend trip I plan annually as it was so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful from every lookout point at the Inn.
The dining room setting where breakfast is served on days where there are fewer guests at the hotel. On Sunday morning I enjoyed breakfast in the dining room with a larger group of guests.
The delicious eggs served with an English muffin, some roasted veggies, roasted potatoes and coffee of course! I require 2-3 cups of coffee a day, fun fact!
Captain’s Quarters
I stayed in the Captain’s Quarters which faces the ocean directly and is just steps above the dining room in the main lodge. I was blown away by the views and how cozy and charming this room was! It is also steps away from the outdoor hot tub which I took full advantage of (sadly it was rainy and misty so I didn’t get a picture). You’ll have to come back yourself to see it and experience it.
Guests can also enjoy horseback riding during a stay at The Inn at Newport Ranch. I had planned to ride, but the morning of the ride I woke up to rain so I didn’t get to ride but I hope to on my next visit.
Sneak peak at some of the amazing sights I saw on my ATV Ride Saturday morning. You can read more about that on the blog too!
After dinner guests would relax in the living room area by the fire (of course). My favorite after dinner treat was the cookies that the team leaves out for guests to enjoy. And of course the wine. This hotel thought of everything, even late at night when you should be asleep guests are spoiled with cookies to enjoy. They are made by the fabulous on-site Chef who makes all the meals guests experience during their stay.
Farewell The Inn at Newport Beach. It’s so hard to leave, especially when there are finally blue skies on my last day.
Back to reality and heading home to San Francisco in this brand new Lexus UX 200.
Thanks to the Inn at Newport Ranch for hosting me for this weekend getaway and Lexus for partnering with me. Also sharing your Lexus UX 200 with me which was so perfect for this California Coastal getaway!
