As you all may know, San Francisco is a city known for its fog and cold winds. But there are some bright and sunny days that you need to take advantage of. I recommend trying out some rooftop restaurants and bars. San Francisco’s city views are absolutely breathtaking on warm and sunny days. Here are what I consider, The Best Rooftops in San Francisco!

The Battery
First on my list of the Best Rooftops in San Francisco is The Penthouse at The Battery. The Battery is a beautiful private club (which I’ve been a member of for years and adore) & hotel in the heart of the Jackson Square neighborhood of San Francisco. The Penthouse is a phenomenal rooftop lounge to grab a bite and drink and chill while enjoying the spectacular city views. Note, The Battery Club and Hotel is NOT open to the public. If you’re a hotel guest you have access to the club, the penthouse, and more but it’s not open to the public (sorry guys!). 717 Battery St, San Francisco, CA 94111
Charmaine’s Rooftop Bar & Lounge
Another one of the Best Rooftops in San Francisco is Charmaine’s Rooftop Bar & Lounge that is located in the Proper Hotel. It offers a rooftop cocktail lounge and kitchen with highbrow bar bites, drinks by the Bon Vivants & city views. It has a mixed style of European terrace with a relaxed California vibe. The energy was amazing and the city view was breathtaking when I visited this place for my interview with Ruinart Winemaker Frédéric Panaiotis which you can read about out here! 45 McAllister St, San Francisco, CA 9410
Flashback to my incredible interview with Ruinart Winemaker Frédéric Panaiotis which you can read about out here which took place on the roof of Charmaine’s.

Next on my list of the Best Rooftops in San Francisco is Dirty Habit. Located in Hotel Zelos San Francisco and SoMa District, this fifth-floor hideaway has a dramatic noir-inspired dining room and a fully heated outdoor patio. Get ready to enjoy creative craft cocktails with gourmet bites. 12 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94103
El Techo
El Techo is known for its great Latin American street food and cocktails (“del sol”) that are enjoyed on the rooftop with expansive city views. This is hands down a FAVORITE rooftop amongst San Franciscans especially those living in the Mission (like me). Whether it is raining or shining, the windscreens and heat lamps allow for it to be open regardless of the weather. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing and the service is outstanding. It is truly a wonderful experience every visit. 2516 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110
620 Jones
Located on 620 Jones Street, 620 Jones is a unique bar and restaurant with an outdoor terrace where you can relax and enjoy yourself in a very low-key unpretentious setting. It offers a spacious space and cozy furnishing. It is known to be San Francisco’s favorite urban oasis where guests enjoy specialty crafted cocktails while being surrounded by greens and hummingbirds! 620 Jones St, San Francisco, CA 94102
Rooftop 25
Located on top of 25 Lusk, Rooftop 25 offers outdoor seating with upbeat music and a casual vibe. It is one of San Francisco’s newest and most sought-after outdoor venues. Their menu by the talented Chef/ Owner Matthew Dolan includes Wood Fired Handcrafted Pizza, Soft Pretzel Bites, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Bratwurst with beer onions, and lots of other delicious food offerings. You can also choose from a wide variety of drink menus: beers, wines, cocktails. This is a must-visit. for any foodies, wine or cocktail lovers seeking a chic cool downtown vibe in San Francisco’s SOMA area. 25 Lusk St, San Francisco, CA 94107
Waterbar Restaurant
Last on my list of the Best Rooftops in San Francisco is Waterbar. It is a sustainable restaurant situated on the waterfront of San Francisco’s Embarcadero, featuring panoramic views of the bay, Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, and the San Francisco skyline. I admire how this place strives to ensure the highest standard of environmentally safe and sustainably sourced seafood. There are also some amazing features of Waterbar including the oyster bar, floor-to-ceiling aquariums, and spectacular views of the waterfront.
