The Riad Fes
During a recent trip to Morocco I had the pleasure of visiting Fes. Fez was the capital of modern Morocco until 1925, and is now the capital of the Fès administrative region. The city has two old medinas, the larger of which is Fes el Bali. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is believed to be one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas.
What is the Riad Fes: Riad Fes is a luxury hotel within the Fes medina which is worth seeing if you make it to Fes. During my visit Katherine and I decided we could use an afternoon of pampering so we visited the Riad Fes for massages, and some time by the pool. When you see how gorgeous this hotel is you’ll want to do the same thing on your trip!
I’m in heaven relaxing in between my spa treatment. What a lovely sanctuary in Fes!

Enjoying an early drink after relaxing in the Spa all afternoon. This hotel has some of the best views in Fes. If you can’t make it to the Spa for a treatment, swing by the hotel for a roof top drink!
