One of the hottest spots in Santa Barbara is the Funk Zone. The Funk Zone is a really cool area with various restaurants including two of my favorite’s The Lark and also Loquita which recently opened early 2017 from the same team behind The Lark. If you’re looking for a lively scene with great food, amazing cocktails and a really chill relaxed setting both inside or outside The Lark is the spot for you. See more about my visits below and why you need to visit this Funk Zone hot spot! 131 Anacapa St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101
The delicious Little Gems “Wedge” with house smoked blue cheese, warm glazed bacon, watermelon radish, spicy pecans, fine herbs. This salad was so delicious, light and fresh we all adored it!
Another delicious starter, the Grilled Globe Artichoke with lemon thyme hollandaise, roasted sunflower seeds, chili flake, wild nasturtium flowers, soft poached egg. As a girl who adores artichokes this a yummy starter.
The Porchetta & Burrata with crispy calabrian chiles, meyer lemon, pickled shallot, red watercress, grilled ciabatta. This was very unique as I had never had a Burrata with Porchetta before.
The most delicious dish we experienced which was the Hand Cut Pappardelle english peas, hen of the wood mushrooms, sugar snap peas, piedmont white truffle, pine nuts, parmesan. You can not go wrong with pasta, white truffle and pine nuts this was amazing!
The slow Roasted Niman Ranch Ribs with southern sweet tea glaze, fingerling potato salad, anaheim chiles, easter egg radish, chives, ‘texas tornado’ hot sauce. I loved the sweet glaze on these ribs and the delicious side vegetables included in this dish. So fresh and yummy!
A dessert treat which is a Goat’s Milk Cheesecake bellwood canyon farms strawberries, english cucumber, strawberry consomme, roasted almond brittle, goat cheese and strawberry ice cream.
Thanks to The Lark team for hosting me during my visit in for dinner. I loved the visit and enjoyed experiencing your amazing restaurant.
