Eat Drink SF 2014 Culinary, Cocktail & Wine Event
For the 2014 Eat Drink SF Event the venue changed from last years Union Square (which I attended and thought was great) to Fort Mason. The new space was perfect since it’s larger and gave the guests and exhibitors more space to spread out. Overall, I thought the event was great! I had the pleasure of attending the Saturday Evening’s Grand Tasting, A Night of Classics: Bay Area Originals which I really enjoyed. The Eat Drink SF team described it best, “Each restaurant in the Lexus Grand Tasting served a classic or signature dish from their restaurant. Mixologists spent the night shaking cocktails, wine-makers were popping corks and brewers were tapping the kegs. Attendees joined us for the party of the year and had a great time eating, drinking, and dancing the night away!”
What I love most about these fabulous Culinary events is exploring new and exciting Restaurants, Wineries and Mixologists and of course seeing my familiar favorites or pals! Below is a combination of some of my favorite newbies (or new to me if I’d never dined or enjoyed them before) and some of my fav oldies but goodies…Fort Mason Center. 2 Marina Boulevard. San Francisco, CA. 94123.
I. Culinary favorite’s
This was HANDS DOWN my favorite presentation! I love the hot dogs on the Mini Weber BBQ. I’m such a midwest gal and the dogs were FABULOUS!
Me and my pal Chef Francis. We’d met prior while he was donating his time and expertise teaching a Sprouts Cooking Class at BlueStem Brasserie. Such an awesome Chef and a real great guy!
I was thrilled to experience Sprig for the first time at Eat Drink SF. I have their app and have heard AMAZING things about their food but I’ve never had the chance to order it. That will change…. Their Chocolate dessert cups were heavenly and I fell in love…. I also love the idea of supporting awesome local San Francisco brands and talent. Sprig, I’m your newest fan.
Kin Khao’s delicious Meat Rice Patty in a delicious Peanut Curry. This was in the VIP Lounge so unfortunately all guests didn’t get to enjoy this delight! I had never heard of Kin Khao prior to Eat Drink SF and I’ll definitely be returning for more of this amazing Thai cuisine.
Pican Restaurant was another new favorite of mine. Their XO Sauce Dish (below) was amazing and now that they’re a new fav of mine, an Oakland visit to their restaurant is in the near future…..
II. Cocktail & Wine Favorite’s
Hangar One Vodka. I love this set up and display almost as much as I loved their delicious cocktail!
The Brunch Cup, the most delicious cocktail at the event. See recipe below to enjoy at home.
Brunch Cup Recipe courtesy of Hangar One : This is a great drink any time of day….
Kudos to their PR Agency Hanna-Lee Communications for this awesome social media plug. Simple. Easy and everything you need in one spot!! A bloggers dream come true.
Bourbon & Branch Mixologist Ross Lewis
A delicious Sauvignon Blanc I enjoyed! I also love the logo.
