Gran Moraine Winery
I was first introduced to Gran Moraine Winery at the World of Pinot Noir and it was truly love at first sight! Their wines are truly outstanding, but I was also impressed by how knowledgeable they were about the art of winemaking. Engaging in conversation with the lovely folks at Gran Moraine was fabulous. It really makes their hospitality team stand out among the many beautiful wineries in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

First, let’s address the elephant in the room: how absolutely stunning is this scenery?
This open space filled with stunning greenery and flowers made me feel so welcome upon arriving at Gran Moraine. What better way to start a winery visit and wine tasting than to be bathed in the aromas of fresh flowers and plants?
The reality of wine tasting during COVID. With all of these precautions being taken, I felt extremely safe wine tasting during COVID. All of the guests at the winery (during my visit) were tasting outside and wearing masks when not drinking. The entire team was masked as they worked and hosted guests.
The interior of Gran Moraine. I loved the use of wood and materials like stone and glass. I felt right at home in this elegant space.
This is Dan, my wonderful host at Gran Moraine. We had such a wonderful time together he also hosted me at Penner-Ash Winery (also owned by Jackson Family Wines) so after my two visits with him I felt like he was my new Oregon best friend!
A list of the Gran Moraine Wines I tried. I was so excited once I sat down in front of this piece of paper! Dan curated the wines based on the style of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Wines I like (he told me this during our tasting). Talk about a knowledgeable and prepared hospitality experience. Dan was amazing!
What a beautiful view and line up of Gran Moraine Wines and Zena Crown Vineyard. The winemaker Shane Moore (read my interview with Shane here) makes the wines for both of these brands so while I was at Gran Moraine I was lucky enough to try both wines at the same time. Once again, how thoughtful is Dan and the team spiling me with all of these great wines from both Gran Moraine Winery and Zena Crown Vineyard.
Each and every wine I tried was unique and fabulous in its own way. I felt so lucky to try so many different wines, comparing the different flavors and textures. If there’s one thing I love about wine tasting, it’s that through wine tastings, I’ve learned to really appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into every stunning bottle.
The gorgeous vineyards that stretch way off into the distance. I can’t get over the perfect weather and the beautiful view!
Thanks again to the Gran Moraine team for a spectacularly delicious and memorable visit. It was all that I had hoped for and more…..
