Pebble Beach Food & Wine
Opening Night Reception
After attending the recent 2015 Pebble Beach Food & Wine festival I’m not sure where to start in sharing the incredible experience. I’ve decided that my pictures tell the story best (I did take almost 700 pictures in 4 days) so I will be brief with my commentary and you can see for yourself how amazing the weekend was. Hopefully you’ll be lucky and attend next year, I promise it’s one of the most fabulous Food & Wine I’ve ever attended.
Over the course of three days I attended a lot of events ranging from the Opening Night Reception to Meatopia, a Greek Wine Seminar, a Curtis Stone cooking demonstration, The Lexus Grand Tasting and Beauties & Their Beasts Dinner. Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more post event posts this week! They were all incredible for different reasons. I will start with sharing the Thursday Night Opening Reception. The opening reception is exactly how it sounds. A large reception with a ton of Chefs, Restaurants, Winemakers, Press (that’s me!) and guests. This event was the perfect way to kick off the weekend seeing familiar faces, meeting new friends and enjoying amazing food & wine. The Inn at Spanish Bay. Pebble Beach, CA.
The gorgeous view from the Inn at Spanish Bay. PBFW here I come….
So special meeting David of Coastal Luxury Management. Quite possibly the most gracious and generous host. What a guy!
Chef Lincoln Carson of San Francisco’s Michael Mina Group
Winemaker Nicole Rolet of Chene Bleu. Such a doll who makes delicious French Wines
Always fun running into Adam and Derrick from one of my favorite California Wineries, Scribe
Quite possibly the highlight of my night! Finally meeting Chef Matthew Accarrino of San Francisco’s SPQR Restaurant after numerous visits into the restaurant and loving his food. Chef Michael Passmore of Passmore Ranch was joining Chef Matthew in creating this delicious dish that I loved!
The Wild Gnochetti “White Bolognese” SPQR Restaurant was serving. It was so good I had seconds, maybe thirds….
Catherine, me and Chef Matthew
Running into my FAVORITE Kendall Jackson folks pouring Kendall Jackson & La Crema. Yes please, yum!
Loved meeting Chef Elizabeth Falkner for the first time. I was lucky enough to enjoy her food the first night and again at Saturday evening’s Beauties & Their Beasts Dinner which was divine!!!
It wouldn’t be a Wine Festival without delicious Cheese to pair with it
So fun experiencing Chilean wines it reminded me of my visit to Chile’s Casablanca Wine Region.
Another amazing woman I loved meeting. Chef Stephanie Izard, a fellow Chicago girl. We chatted and realized we grew up one town away from each other. Love the Midwesterners!!!
The delicious Goat Mole Tostados. So good I may need to plan another Chicago visit soon to enjoy more of Chef Stephanie’s yummy work
Another San Francisco reunion. Sarah, me, James and Marcia of Tablehopper
Loved running into Chef Stephanie Izard of Girl & The Goat and Chef Elizabeth Falkner at the After Party
Delicious late night bites from Liza Shaw of San Francisco’s Merigan Sub Shop.
Having fun with Liam Mayclem aka CBS Foodie Chap. I literally run into Liam everywhere in SF he’s the best!
The after party is starting to get wild….
