I can’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate National Women’s History Month than honoring a very iconic and historical Women in the Wine INdustry, Madame Clicquot, otherwise known as La Grande Dame of Champagne. Upon receiving an invite from the Veuve Clicquot team to join for lunch at One Market San Francisco hosted by Veuve Clicquot Winemaker Gaelle Goossens I was thrilled to happily accept. See the fun and informative experience and tasting guests and I enjoyed at this Women’s History Lunch hosted by Veuve Cliquot.
Prior to lunch guests enjoyed a reception at One Market SF of course enjoying Veuvev Clicquot Wines

In case it’s not obvious I am having so much fun and literally all smiles!
Me and One Market SF Sommelier & friend, Tonya Pitts. She’s amazing and extremely involved in the Wine industry, especially supporting Female Winemakers. We last enjoyed a glass together at another Moet Hennessy Event (who owns Veuve Clicquot & Krug to name a few of their Champaign brands) with Krug Champagne at The Assembly SF. Read more about the fabulous Krug Event here.
The lineup of wines we enjoyed during this lovely lunch. My favorite was hands-down the 1990 La Grande Dame Rose (image below). What a treat getting to taste a vintage so old and so beautiful! It held up lovely.
The spectacular 1990 La Grande Dame Veuve Clicquot vintage we enjoyed during lunch!
One of the delicious appetizers from the One Market SF culinary team, led by my friend, Chef & Partner,Mark Dommen
Guests received a copy of The Widow Clicquot which was such a lovely gift. I’ve started reading it and it’s quite informative. Thanks Veuve Clicquot for the lovely surprise.
The reception was followed by a seating lunch where Winemaker Gaelle Goossens led us through each of the wine pairings sharing more about the wine and the winemaking details. What a special event it’s not every day you get to learn first hand from the winemaker about the wines you’re enjoying. Thank you again, Gaelle Goossens and Veuve Clicquot for having me to this magical afternoon!
One of the delicious courses of lunch The One Market SF team created. The fish and citrus was perfectly paired with the Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
Hard at work getting the perfect shot!
Michael Traynor who is Veuve Clicquot’s Business Development Manager and planned this fabulous lunch sharing thoughts with the group.
Dessert!
Me and the lovely Gaelle Goossens all smiles enjoying a glass of the 1990 La Grande Dame Champagne. This was my favorite wine we enjoyed during the fabulous afternoon.
A huge thank you to Veuve Clicquot, Michael Traynor, Gaelle Goossens and the One Market SF Team for having me to this incredible afternoon of wine, delicious food, education and fun together.
