The Elk Cove Inn

The Elk Cove Inn is perfect for romantic getaways (which is what I went for to celebrate my boyfriend Robert’s birthday), girlfriend getaways, stays with pets, singles, and everything in between. This bed and breakfast has a one-of-a-kind ocean view on the Mendocino Coast. 6300 CA-1, Elk, CA 95432

The rooms are quite charming and have a cozy feel to them… They also have the most amazing views! When we first arrived you know we had to open a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Waking Up at the Inn

Staying here truly feels like a little getaway since Mendocino can sometimes feel like it isn’t California. Speaking of which, Elk and Mendocino have featured on my blog The Cutest Towns in California You Must Visit. There is so much to take advantage of when starting your day here since there is so much breathtaking scenery to see.

Getting Robert’s birthday celebration started with some champagne with breakfast. You really can not beat these gorgeous ocean front rooms and Mendocino County views!

There are also spots all around the property to enjoy scenic views.

Navarro Point

When visiting Elk, you have to hike Navarro Point. You will get the best views and amazing scenery. It truly does not even feel like you’re in California when you’re on this hike because the views are that great. This is definitely a must when you’re in the area.

Crisp blue California coast is always stunning and never gets old.

One of the best parts about Mendocino County is all of the wildlife. These were just across the street from Harbor House Inn (another Elk hotel I adore). Read about my Harbor House Inn stay on the blog here. 

After our hike, we decided to get breakfast at a local spot Queenies. This is one of the few dining options in Elk.  It had a great charm to it and the food was tasty so be sure to check it out when visiting Elk, CA.

Lastly, we were able to get dinner before checking out.

This French Onion Soup was so delicious… I am a French Onion Soup connoisseur so have it whenever I see it on the menu. This was one of the best I’ve had.
