My Visit to the Harbor House Inn & Restaurant

On the edge of the Pacific Ocean sits the beautiful Harbor House Inn. Located in Elk, California, this 1916 Craftsman-style Inn is the perfect reason to visit the charming town of Elk. Speaking of charming, check out my blog post, The Cutest Towns in California featuring some of the cutest towns in CA I’ve visited including Elk.

Arriving at Harbor House Inn

Upon arriving at the Harbor House Inn, we were pleasantly greeted with the most stunning views and beyond attentive service. About a week before arriving, we were sent check-in details including a fabulous Spotify Playlist (so clutch I’ve never received this from a hotel and LOVED the touch), as well as the option to pre-order our in-room breakfast orders via Tock. Another touch I loved so we spent less time at check-in when we really just wanted to enjoy this HEAVENLY Hotel every minute we could.

With refined rooms, and amazing craftsman style and architecture, I was so excited for what was to come from my stay. The Harbor House Inn is also located on the Coast of Northern CA with tons of Redwoods, so you can imagine how lovely the scenery is. 5600 CA-1, Elk, CA 95432.

The view is absolutely spectacular, California always continues to surprise me. Here is a spot along the back of the Harbor House Inn to enjoy a fire along the coast. We had a fire one evening enjoying sunset views.

You’re welcomed inside The Harbor House Inn Restaurant with high ceilings and even more stunning views. Guests are invited to join for an 11-course dinner (the # of courses may vary depending on when you visit). This is one of the most magical meals I’ve ever had and I HIGHLY recommend you take advantage and book lunch (only $95) or dinner (upwards of $250 per person) during your stay.

We stayed in The Oceansong Cottage with stunning oceanfront views.  I recommend a cottage during your visit, for tons of privacy (vs. being in the main building where the check-in and restaurant is).  They are a bit pricier but so worth the extra cost.

This is the living room in the cottage. There’s also a quaint dining room table where your in-room breakfast is served and delivered to you daily.

Waking up at The Harbor House Inn

Complimentary breakfast is given at The Harbor House Inn, making waking up there that much more special. The staff is amazing and there are so many personal touches to the experience.  The breakfast is hand-delivered to your room by the staff and is one of the most exquisite, indulgent, and delicious hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. Bravo to the amazing Harbor House Culinary team the breakfast was just as magical as their fine dining experience. Read about our dinner at Harbor House Inn Restaurant here.

Visiting the Lovely Town Elk

Elk is featured in my blog post, The Cutest Towns in California for a reason. Not only does it have an adorable town with small businesses to enjoy, but you have to take a walk along the shore.
