I’m so excited, I’ve arrived at my first Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery Crab Dinner. See all of the fun I experienced below…
Upon arriving at The Gary Farrell Vineyard & Winery’s 13th Annual Crab Dinner guests were welcomed with a glass of the 2015 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley.
Is it obvious how happy I am to be here? A huge thanks to the Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery team for hosting me to this fabulous evening.
Prior to dinner in the barrel room guests enjoyed passed appetizers including these delicious Crispy Arborio Risotto Cakes. These paired lovely with the 2015 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley.
One of my favorite parts of the Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery setting is the spectacular views guests can enjoy during their visit. My lovely friend Liz and I took advantage and got a shot together of the stunning pre-sunset views.
Our first course was a Creamy Butternut Squash Soup with oregano creme fraiche swirl. This warm soup was the perfect start to the evening as a barrel room can be quite chilly so the soup paired with The 2014 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay and 2014 Fort Ross Vineyard Pinot Noir was delicious!
Served with the full crab was literally a Chardonnay from my favorite Vineyard in California, Durrell. This Chardonnay showcases such a stunning expression of Carneros and the first time I visited Gary Farrell Winery and tasted it I had the same response, pure heaven…. Views of the table and happy guests enjoying this evening of Crab, delicious wines and great people at Gary Farrell Winery.
It’s hard to believe I had room for dessert after enjoying a whole Dungeness Crab but I somehow made room for the Creme Brulee. This was the perfect conclusion to a magnificent evening with guests and the Gary Farrell Winery team.
