The Best Restaurants in The Mission San Francisco

As you may have seen, I recently moved to The Mission and am loving settling into my new neighborhood. For starters, I have been exploring the restaurant scene so wanted to share my list of the Best Restaurants in The Mission. See the list below. As always let me know if you have any questions!

Flour + Water Pizzeria

The newest addition to the Mission which I am frequenting all the time is Flour + Water Pizzeria from the adored Flour + Water team. This is located on Valencia and 18th Street and is heavenly. With both indoor seating and outdoor patio seating, it’s a welcomed addition to my neighborhood. With amazing pizza, salads and other yummy sides, you are sure to be in foodie heaven when you visit. Be sure to save room for their Soft Serve Ice Cream. I am not even an Ice Cream person and have this every time I visit (or every time I walk by). I recommend the Fior de Latte & Salted Caramel Swirl with olive oil and salt on top. It’s beyond perfection!

Delfina San Francisco

Delfina San Francisco is a Mission staple and if you’re looking for amazing food with a lively scene this is the spot for you. Be sure to save room for some ice cream across the street at Bi-Rite, another Mission essential. 3621 18th St, San Francisco, CA 94110

Flour + Water

The original Flour + Water is not to be missed as well. They have some of the most incredible pasta in the city, amazing pizza’s (where do you think Flour + Water Pizzeria concept evolved from) and it’s just a fabulous intimate spot. I’ve had many birthday dinners here with girlfriends and love it. Also for a small group of 16 or so reserve their dough room for private parties which is also fabulous! 2401 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94110

Lolinda

“Lolinda is a new kind of Argentinean steakhouse that combines Latin American flavors with California sensibilities”.  It’s a fabulous spot for both dinner, cocktails or weekend brunch with amazing cuisine, killer cocktails and always a lively fun scene. This is also located on the ground floor of El Techo (another Best Restaurant in the Mission that I adore). 2518 Mission St., San Francisco, CA 94110.

El Techo

For the best rooftop in San Francisco, you must visit El Techo. With casual Latin American street food, incredible cocktails (you HAVE to try their Frozen Daquiri and their Margarita’s), El Techo is loved by all. Be prepared for a wait as this is always popular on a bright gorgeous day in San Francisco but it is for sure worth the wait and you will not want to leave. 2516 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110

Beretta

For great Italian cuisine, a casual neighborhood like setting Beretta is the spot for you. This Mission gem is not only delicious but has a super fun scene and awesome cocktails.  They don’t take reservations so go early or plan to enjoy a cocktail as you wait but trust me, it’s worth the wait! 1199 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110

Tacolicious

It would be hard to mention great restaurants in the Mission without mentioning Tacolicious. This is one of the spots I love to go for a yummy fresh salad (the Marina girl is my go-to), tacos or their amazing margs. Really everything is great. They also have a nice outdoor seating area (which fills up on a nice day) but is so worth the wait.  Be sure to visit Tacolicious for amazing Mexican cuisine in The Mission. 741 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110.

You must have their homemade margaritas when you visit. They’re divine!

Souvla

Anyone that lives in San Francisco knows of the adored Souvla. With locations in Hayes Valley, Nopa and most recently the Mission this is one of the most popular spots for a quick casual bite with amazing high-quality foods and great service. I love that each location has its own unique vibe but also similar traits making it a Souvla. I am obsessed with the Chicken Salad (with the fries on top) or for a lighter mood, I’ll have a vegetarian Sandwich or Salad bowl. Regardless, whatever you have, I’m sure you’ll love it! Learn more about Souvla’s Owner & Founder, Charlies Bililies here during a recent interview with him. 758 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110
