As someone who loves to give gifts just as much as I love to receive them holiday gift giving is very important to me. So I’ve decided to round up some of my favorite gifts for a Wine lover or Cocktail enthusiast. See more of my recommendations below. Happy shopping and happy early holidays to you!!
Jordan Winery Gift Sets
If you’ve read my blog you have seen how much I adore Jordan Winery. I have experienced every one of their guest experiences, which you can read about here and I think their wines are incredible. They are extremely high-quality, family owned and operated and for the level of high quality wines you’re getting they are priced extremely well. Their 2014 Chardonnay is $32 (which for someone who drinks a LOT of Chardonnay) can confirm is a steal for how incredible this wine is. Their 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is $55. So you can imagine my excitement when the holidays come and they start offering their gorgeous gift set packaging. Purchase Jordan Wine gift sets here.
Riedel Glasses & Decanter
Every wine lover needs some nice glasses which is why I recommended Riedel for serious wine drinks. The glasses are gorgeous and they have incredible decanters and such which are just as essential as wine glasses for those drinking heavier reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Bordeaux blends. A few of my go to Riedel items are the below Cabernet decanter and glasses. Riedel XL Pinot Noir set, the Riedel extreme Chardonnayset (which look way cooler than the regular size).
Cameron Hughes private reserve vertical
All of you Cabernet lovers will adore this holiday gift set from Cameron Hughes. The Private Reserve Gift set features an incredible 2006-2011 six-bottle vertical of Napa Valley Cabernet. These are all estate-bottled wines, with continuous sourcing from estate vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, Yountville and St. Helena. Each Cabernet tells the story of its vintage and is a wholly unique experience unto itself. Tasting through this vertical is, in a sense, a tasting through six years of Napa Valley history. The entire library has perfect provenance, was aged in 100% new French oak, and has been cellared since bottling at 55 degrees in Nest Egg storage – the Fort Knox of wine storage in Napa. This is a once-in-a-lifetime, never-to-be-seen-again opportunity to own a six-bottle, six-vintage vertical of Cabernet from one of the most iconoclastic cult producers in the history of Napa Valley – we will never see anything like this again. To assemble this particular set, one would have to purchase the wines individually at auction for somewhere between $1200 and $1800.
Described by Cameron Hughes, “One of the cult wineries in Napa Valley has quietly changed hands between two individuals of considerable wealth, but the vineyards themselves were not part of the deal. Due to the lack of continuity in vineyard sourcing for future productions, the winery’s library collection of shiners (bottled wines without labels) became available. Because of our reputation for discretion, we were offered first shot at this exclusive archive. Buy gift set online at Cameron Hughes here.
Cuvaison Andy Warhol Gift Set
This may be one of the coolest gifts for both art lovers and wine lovers. Cuvaison is offering a three series set of Andy Warhol collector boxes. This is the first of three including two Napa Valley estate wines, a Chardonnay from Carneros and a red Bordeaux blend from Brandlin Vineyard on Mount Veeder. Both the beautifully-crafted wines and collector’s box feature original artwork created by Andy Warhol. Purchase Andy Warhol limited edition gift sets at $250 on Cuvaison Estates here.
