Earlier this Spring I was invited to join Pangloss Cellars for their first Winemaker Dinner at their charming Sonoma Tasting room. Read more about their incredible Wine & Food tastings and my first visit to Pangloss Cellars here.
The picturesque tasting room bar.
What a beautiful table spread. I love how each guest had their name on their place setting.
Two of my favorite Sonoma chefs from girl & the fig, Chef John and Owner Sondra Bernstein. Read my interview with Sondra Bernstein here.
Talented Chef Matthew welcoming the guests and sharing inspiration behind his menu.
The delicious Pangloss Chenin Blanc wine we enjoyed during one of the courses.
The 2013 Pangloss 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon which paired with our Filet entree. This was incredible, such a lovely pairing together.
Winemaker Erich brought out some of his personal wines to share with the group to we got to enjoy this 1986 Clos de La Coulee de Serrant which was so light and lovely. What a treat for Erich to share his wine cellar with us!
The line up of a few of the wines we tasted throughout the dinner.
The grand finale getting to enjoy the 1969 Chateau neuf du Pape. Wow I don’t think I’ve ever had french wine this old it was amazing.
Winemaker Erick sharing a 2012 Arrowood Syrah. Many years ago one of Erich’s first winemaking jobs was at Arrowood so it was super special for him to bring this magnum for the group to enjoy. Talk about a generous guy!
The chocolate mousse dessert was hands down my favorite dish of this incredible evening. Chef Matthew did such a phenomenal job on the entire meal.
A little selfie action with me and winemaker Erich Bradley. What a treat spending so much time with you and enjoying your delicious wines both from Pangloss and earlier in your winemaking days. Thank again for having me join on your first Winemaker Dinner it was beyond special!
