Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the picturesque Sea Ranch Lodge situated along the Northern California Coast. It was a special occasion as I’ve wanted to visit The Sea Ranch Lodge for as long as I can remember and my annual birthday surprise trip for my boyfriend Robert was just the excuse to plan a visit. Our trip to the Sea Ranch Lodge was was a truly enchanting experience as we immersed ourselves in the stunning vistas and embraced a sense of tranquility. Join me below for a glimpse into My Visit to Sea Ranch Lodge!
Upon Arriving at Sea Ranch Lodge
From the moment I embarkeded on the journey to Sea Ranch Lodge, I was captivated by the awe-inspiring views of the California Coast. Despite having stayed along the coast on numerous occasions, this particular view held a unique and exceptional charm. The lodge, designed for intimacy and relaxation, provides a perfect escape surrounded by the beauty of nature. Recent renovations have added some wonderful enhancements to the already captivating Sea Ranch Lodge.
Taking in the stunning Sonoma Coast views behind the main lodge. This had such a lovely atmosphere for hotel guests and locals, as the Sea Ranch Community is about 1600 homes within a few miles of the lodge relaxed and enjoyed the restaurant, the coffee bar and just the beauty the Sea Ranch Lodge shares.
The Beautiful Rooms at The Sea Ranch Lodge
The newly designed rooms were some of the most cozy, yet chic with a modern decor that felt luxurious yet not pretentious. It’s a hard balance to achieve but the vibe of the lovely wood walls, the navy and red color accents offsetting the blue ocean views was magical. There was so much attention to detail that I appreciate and recognized.
I cannot stress enough how amazing the views were that you were spoiled with in this room. It made the experience so special. We had a corner room (on the 2nd floor), which I’d highly recommend requesting when you book which was pure bliss!
A special thanks to Rachel and the Sea Ranch Lodge team for the thoughtful welcome! After the 1.5 hour drive from Healdsburg to the Coast a bottle of champagne and delicious cheese plate was such a welcoming touch. These little details were noticed throughout my visit. Whether in the room, or by their room service or by their front of house team they really elevate the guest experience with unexpected surprises to delight and please their guests. The birthday boy Robert was loving the start to his birthday weekend at The Sea Ranch Lodge as was I!
All smiles setting into our long weekend with a glass of champagne and my favorite guy (doubling as the photographer).
Another amazing little touch in the room I fell for was the stationary on the desk. Not only did it have a note pad for guests (my favorite item to take home wit hme and use as scratch paper which reminds me of the magical vacation I had to each hotel), it also had a big guide with recommendations for restaurants and all the hotel amenities as well as Weekly Events (shown above). This hotel guide was especially helpful and it was obvious how much attention to detail and love had been shared when making it.
Although the coffee in the Sea Ranch Lodge Restaurant was spectacular (literally my favorite latte’s I’ve ever had) each guest room also included cover from Healdsburg Local Coffee Shop The Plank. Read more about The Plank and other favorite Healdsburg coffee shops here.
Being able to enjoy breakfast via room service was such a lovely start to a lazy day on the Sonoma Coast.
Sea Ranch Lodge Restaurant
The Sea Ranch Lodge also includes a dining room, solarium, bar and lounge, café, and general store that are available for guests to enjoy all part of the Sea Ranch Lodge Restaurant.
The Sea Ranch Lodge Dining room had delicious food with the most stunning ocean views (shown). We had the most amazing celebratory dinner in their dining room as well. Read more about that below.
Take note, the Links Cafe had some of the most delicious and creative Latte’s I’ve ever seen at a cafe. I am still dreaming about the Pumpkin Marshmallow I enjoyed during my fall visit.
Even after having the delicious Plank Coffee in the room I still had a daily latte from the Links Cafe. This may be somewhere I stop on the coast on my way to Mendocino just for an excuse to return back and of course enjoy their amazing latte’s, views and great service.
For day two of our stay at The Sea Ranch Lodge we enjoyed breakfast with a view in the Sea Ranch Lodge Restaurant. Between the delicious greek yogurt, pumpkin marshmallow latte and these views it was absolute perfection!
The Sea Ranch Lodge Dining Room
These were our views as we were seated for a celebratory Birthday dinner for Robert. So so gorgeous, this setting and fabulous corner table made the evening that much more special.
JSF tip request the corner table (along the wall) in the Dining Room which has the most stunning views.
The birthday boy enjoyed Duck paired with a stunning Peay Vineyards Pinot Noir. I had mentioned to the restaurant manager I loved Peay earlier in the day and then upon being seated the team surprised us with this pairing. Like I said they’re so attentive and great with all the little details.
Truly such a delicious meal which was plated excellently at our dinner. Curious to see more of my favorite Sonoma Coast Wineries check out the Best Sonoma Coast Wineries here. Plan a visit to one before or after your stay at The Sea Ranch Lodge.
Other Activities
Since it’s in Sonoma County, there is still a bunch of stuff to do nearby! Be sure to check out my blog on The Best Restaurants in Sonoma and The Best Sonoma Wineries here.
There are also other activities to enjoy at this lovely resort. You can explore the beauty around on nature walks to Bihler Point or Black Point or tide pooling and picnic lunches at Black Point Beach.
The Sea Ranch Links Golf Course
One of mine and Robert’s favorite activities to do together is Golf. You can imagine my excitement when I learned the Sea Ranch Lodge ALSO had a golf course. I mean, does it get better than that! See more of the golfing fun at the Sea Ranch Links Golf course below.
Wine break! I love the Maker Wines because I can take them with me to enjoy anywhere and anytime I want… Check out The Best Canned Wines to Try here.
All smiles at The Sea Ranch Lodge, cheers to an amazing getaway!
