Last fall I had the pleasure of attending the third annual Calistoga Harvest Table® event which was held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 under the harvest moon. In celebration of a plentiful harvest season, 13 local restaurants and 44 wineries welcomed visitors and locals to 1,000 feet of tables in the center of the city’s picturesque downtown. Calistoga AVA wines were available for purchase by glass or bottle, beginning at 4:30pm. Dinner was served at 6:00 pm, beginning with a toast led by famed Chateau Montelena winemaker Bo Barrett in celebration of the Judgment of Paris 40th anniversary. Tickets to the third annual Calistoga Harvest Table® event SOLD OUT within a day on July 18, when they became available for purchase.
I loved how every restaurant decorated their table in their own unique decor. It really made for a beautiful spread down the street
Me with our host, Calistoga Mayor Chris Canning. If you do not already know Chris get to know him. He and his team are amazing. Who else could put on an event at this caliber, and one that sells out within minutes of tickets going on sale that is truly a blast!
This table may have been my favorite with the gorgeous flowers and stunning decor
Oysters in the air from Napa Valley Crust. They looked so delicious I could not resist shooting them!
I was seated at the Calistoga Kitchen table which I learned is one of the hottest seats in town. This meal was amazing. See more of what we enjoyed below!
The crab starter. So light, delicious and fresh.
The mozzarella burratta appetizer. This may have been the most fresh delicious burrata I have had in a while!! I was raving about this to some locals at our table and learned this is one of the dishes people go to the restaurant specifically to experience. Lucky me I got to try it at this amazing event.
The Filet Entree. Yum, it’s pretty hard to put a meat dish in front of a midwest girl that I don’t get excited about!
Kudos to Calistoga Kitchen’s Chef Rick Warkel on an amazing meal. Thank you for having me.

The beautiful table set up at Evangeline Restaurant.
The adorable dessert at the Sam’s Social Club (read more here) where the Chateau Montelena team was seated. Donuts and a mini milk shake, too cute! For those Chateau Montelena fans like me, learn more about the winery with my interview with Winemaker Matt Crafton
That’s a wrap! Thanks so much to the Visit Calistoga Team and Mayor Chris Canning on an incredible event and hosting me and my friend Kelsey as your guests. I hope to join again in 2017 for this amazing evening of Calistoga fun, delicious eats and incredible wine.
