Where is Harvest Table Restaurant: Harvest Table restaurant is Chef Charlie Palmer’s Wine Country kitchen featuring menus that highlight locally sourced ingredients and the best of the Napa Valley. The restaurant is located in St. Helena within The Harvest Inn. One Main Street. St. Helena, CA. 94574.
What’s the setting like: The setting is charming, located on the ground floor of the Harvest Inn. It feels more like a residence than a restaurant or hotel when you arrive, adding to the intimate setting. Within the restaurant, there is an indoor and outdoor dining room as well as a swanky bar (shown above).
What should you wear: As most of us ladies know, it can be hard to pack for California’s Wine Country. During the day it can be as warm as 80 degrees yet at night the temperature cools down. If you visit for lunch, I’d recommend a skirt or dress and the same or jeans and a nice top or blazer for dinner. This restaurant has more of an upscale feel to it which is why I’d dress up a bit unlike some of my other favorite Wine Country eateries that are more relaxed such as Oakville Grocery, The Fremont Diner or Dean & Deluca in Napa.
What do I recommend you eat: I visited for lunch and was torn between ordering lunch or brunch so I tried them both! I started with the Vegetable Salad, which was incredibly light and flavorful and also the Grilled Carrots. You really can taste and appreciate the freshly grown ingredients (most likely grown in one of the Harvest Inn Garden’s) in these fresh dishes. For our mains we enjoyed Waffles with Bacon and Shrimp Grits. Of course the Waffles were incredible, but I was blown away by the Shrimp Grits. They were so flavorful, with a bit of a spicy kick to them. Delicious!
The flavorful grilled Carrots
The Vegetable Salad which was just as delicious as it looks
The Waffle with Bacon. What’s not to LOVE about sweet Waffles paired with salty Bacon? Perfection if you ask me.
