What to Wear in Wine Country?
Everyone always asks me what to wear when they’re wine tasting or visiting Wine Country. To help with the planning I’ve created a guide of some of my favorite wine country essentials below when planning a trip to Wine Country!
Hawkes Winery
Hawkes Winery located in Alexander Valley is a fabulous and delicious place to experience wine country and try California wines. With indoor and outdoor seating, you are able to get a taste of Sonoma with the beautiful nature that accompanies you! The little bungalow is absolutely adorable. It is a perfect place to taste the Hawkes Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet. If you also find yourself in downtown Sonoma, be sure to check out my post on The Best Wineries and Tasting Rooms in the downtown area. 6734 CA-128, Healdsburg, CA 95448
Jordan Winery
Jordan Winery is a stunning winery in the Alexander Valley that I’ve fallen in love with over the years, read more about Jordan Winery on the blog here. They have amazing wines and an incredible culinary program where guests enjoy their Jordan Winery Olive Oil amongst other delicious culinary creations from Chef Todd. Speaking of Olive Oils, read more about Delicious Olive Oils from Wineries I Adore here. The grounds of Jordan Winery are so spectacular that you feel as if you’re at a château in Bordeaux, France.
The beautiful exterior of Jordan Winery truly sets it apart from other California wineries.

Medlock Ames
Medlock Ames is a fabulous winery located in the Alexander Valley that holds an amazing outside area with lots of nature. The trees and rustic feel provide such a relaxing experience. Their tasting room is historic and holds a lot of beautiful character that pairs well with the delicious wine. I recommend going to Medlock Ames when you can also get some live music to accompany you and your wine experience. 3487 Alexander Valley Rd, Healdsburg, CA 95448

Robert Young Estate Winery
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Robert Young Estate Winery a few times, and each time is absolutely amazing. The experience here is so personal and their wines are delicious. It’s family owned and as you visit you can tell. as you’re usually hosted by a member of the Young family which really fulls so Sonoma and so down to earth. Read more about my visit to the Robert Young Estate Winery and their Iconic Family here.
Robert Young Junior and Fred Young, Founder & President of Robert Young Winery welcoming me for my first visit. See what I mean it’s family-run and operated and most guests will meet a family member when they visit. I LOVE this!

Stonestreet Winery
The Stonestreet Vineyard & Winery is set back off the road with spectacular vineyard views in a laid back setting. If you want a picnic, the Winery can either order food for you or you’re welcome to bring your own. This is quite a fabulous option for foodies like myself. We not only enjoy amazing scenery with tasty wine but a delicious spread of Cheeses and Snacks to compliment the Wine! Read more about my visit to Stonestreet Estate Vineyards here.
Such a beautiful scenery you have to see for yourself.
Sutro Wine Co.
I have come to adore SUTRO Wines over the years. SUTRO Wines was founded by Winemaker and Artist Alice Warnecke Sutro in 2012. Since then, it has blossomed into a wonderful California winery with a delightful selection of wines grown from volcanic terroir.
I was lucky to get to know and interview her for the blog. It was not her passion for winemaking that blew me away. It was also her work amplifying female voices in a predominantly male-dominated business. You can read my Interview with Winemaker Alice Sutro on my blog here.
