Fabulous Jordan Winery So Spectacular You May Think You’re In France Not California

After living in San Francisco over 1.5 years it seemed absurd that I had yet to make it to Healdsburg. I had heard such fabulous things about the wineries, the gorgeous landscape, the adorable downtown and the fabulous restaurants that I was thrilled to plan a day trip to visit. I wanted to be sure to put together the perfect itinerary with a mix of both casual and more formal traditional wineries which is exactly what I did. The first stop was Stone Street Vineyards & Winery. I would then suggesting finishing at Jordan Winery for that over the top fabulous visit and experience. Read more about Jordan below.

For my first visit to Jordan Winery (since after going once I know I’ll be returning again many times) I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. From the web site I could tell it was a very established impressive vineyard, but it wasn’t until I arrived and entered the grand estate did I realize how gorgeous and spectacular it really was!  I was participating in a Trade Tour & Tasting, which is very similar to the Winery Tour & Library Tasting offered to consumers and it was fabulous. We had an amazing guide, Jayson, who couldn’t have been more passionate, professional and informative, not only about the Jordan Wines but also the Jordan family, the Jordan Winery’s winemaker and their fabulous chef.  The wines were wonderful; I tasted different vintages of their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and one vintage of Chardonnay, and there was an option for everyone.  The grounds of Jordan Winery are so spectacular that you feel as if you’re at a château in Bordeaux, France.

As a fellow blogger, I was also very intrigued to learn that Jordan Winery has a blog which has received impressive honors including: 2013 Best Winery Blog, 2013 Best Photo/Video on a Blog and 2012 Best Winery Blog, as well as a finalist in Wine Spectator‘s 2013 and 2011 Lights! Camera! Pour! Video Contest.  Be sure to check it out. 1474 Alexander Valley Road. Healdsburg, CA 95448

Thank you for this fabulous itinerary! I knew I could count on the JSF while planning by dearest friend’s bachelorette party. We all loved both wineries. I have to say that Jordan is one of my new favorites. It felt like we had gone to France for the day. Thanks again JSF!!

These were great recommendations for a recent bachelorette party and showcased a good variety of winery experiences while in Sonoma County! I loved Stone Street so much that I joined the wine club so I can enjoy my CA wines in NYC!
