As someone who owns a dog, my Frenchie Ernestine, and loves to travel with her, I appreciate when wineries are dog-friendly. Sonoma is a great place to drink wine and the experience is ten times better being with your pup. Read below as I have accumulated a list of the Best Dog-Friendly Wineries in Sonoma! Bacchus Landing Healdsburg

Bacchus Landing is a fabulous wine tasting destination just minutes from downtown Healdsburg. They have some great wineries including 13th & 3rd, Montagne Russe, Smith Story Wines & more. Located in downtown Healdsburg, BloodRoot Wines is one of the newest tasting rooms and wine brands in Healdsburg. Blue Farm Wines

Blue Farm Wines is another winery I absolutely adore visiting. I was able to meet their winemaker Anne-Moller Racke at Donum Estate, more about Donum Estate here, but she recently left to focus exclusively on her beautiful wines at Blue Farm Wines. Chenoweth Vineyards is a winery that I recently got more familiar with and have fallen in LOVE with!! Located in Sonoma County, Chenoweth has absolutely gorgeous vineyards and unique flavors of wine that reflect the region of California. Copain Winery is one of the most amazing wineries in Sonoma. They have a fabulous assortment of wines and spectacular views of the vineyard. I was blown away by their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs when I first tried them. Also, they’re dog friendly which helped make my experience even nicer! 7800 Eastside Rd, Healdsburg, CA 95448. DRNK Wines

DRNK Wines are a small family-owned winery. They boast one of only 4 caves in the Russian River Valley, where the wine is cellared and you can enjoy a private tour and wine tasting. This is one not to be missed! Their wines are absolutely delicious, especially their Pinot Rosé, you know how much I love Pinot! And what’s better than wine paired with the gorgeous views of the DRNK vineyards? 3637 Frei Rd, Sebastopol, CA 95472

Dutton Estate Winery

Dutton Estate Winery is a small family-owned winery in the Russian River Valley. They offer an authentic and elegant wine-tasting experience which is a must-try. Located in Sebastopol, Dutton-Goldfield Winery is the perfect place for great wines, outdoor patio seating, and a dog-friendly vibe. Another winery that I adore is Lambert Bridge Winery located in Healdsburg. They have a lovely variety of wines and stunning outdoor gardens. Be sure to check out their Barrel Room, Cellar Room and Patio Tasting. Lioco Wine Tasting Room

Another Healdsburg tasting room I adore and frequent is Licoo. They have gorgeous Sonoma Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sometimes a fun surprise such as a Sparkling Pet Nat. This is also dog friendly which makes it one of Ernie’s favorite spots in town as well. 125 Matheson Street Healdsburg.

One of my favorite and most frequently visited wineries in Healdsburg is MacRostie Winery. They have the most beautiful architecture which you can read more about on my blog post here. Additionally, the guest experience is stellar just like their wines and I get to visit with my pup Ernie! Mayo Family Winery is a small, family-owned & operated winery located in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Merriam Vineyards

Merriam Vineyards is one of my newer discoveries, and let me tell you, it is a gem! They are a family-owned, sustainably grown vineyard and they produce absolutely delicious Russian River Wines that are Bordeaux style (and get this also some Burgundy varietals), so of course, I love them. Ernie and I have had some amazing visits, and now I love to bring guests to discover their creations too. Ernie’s favorite thing is their dog treats, of course, the team made her feel so special so make sure you pay them a visit. 11650 Los Amigos Rd, Healdsburg, CA 95448

Peay Vineyards

Peay Vineyards is a Sonoma Coast destination that I had the pleasure of visiting. While admiring the incredible vineyard landscape and exquisite wines, I got to taste their estate Pinot Noir Wines which are beyond fabulous and any Pinot Noir lover would be familiar with. Peay Vineyards was also at my inaugural Pinots & Plaid 2019 in San Francisco and it’s truly a brand I adore! Porter Creek Vineyards

Porter Creek Vineyards is a gorgeous winery in Healdsburg, my favorite place! They are a small family winery and they boast 45-year-old Pinot Noir vines that still make the most delicious wine. This is the perfect rustic winery as it’s been unchanged by tourism meaning it’s a great hidden gem. What’s even better is that they’re dog and kid-friendly meaning there’s fun to be had for everyone! 8735 Westside Rd. Healdsburg, CA 95448

RAEN Winery

RAEN Winery is my latest Sonoma discovery. RAEN has a beautiful vineyard very close to the Sonoma Coastline in Sebastopol. This makes their wine super unique. During my visit, I tasted some absolutely delicious Pinot Noirs (my favorite), and both myself and Ernie were treated so well. We had an absolutely amazing time and can’t wait to visit again soon. 6780 McKinley St, Sebastopol, CA 95472

Raen Winery

Another winery that is beyond dog-friendly in Sonoma that I adore and highly recommend is Trentadue Winery. They are located in Geyserville and I love them. With a super laid-back vibe, great wines and amazing hospitality you will love spending time here and no doubt return again and again.
