It’s hard to believe the holiday season is practically here after the year and a half we just had. It’s finally time to get ready to celebrate the holidays with our dearest family and friends. It can be stressful trying to find the right drinks for the holidays, but I’ve got you covered. Follow along below to see my list for Best Thanksgiving Wines To Pair with Turkey this Holiday season.
Amista Vineyards Sparkling Syrah
Amista Vineyards produces some of the best sparkling Syrahs right here in Healdsburg, California. The gorgeous rosé and cranberry color make this Syrah look like joy in a bottle, which it is! This picture perfect sparkling Syrah is perfect for the holiday season.
Bennett Lane Winery Cabernet
Bennett Lane Winery is known for their incredible Cabernet wines and their selection of 2016 Cabernets are a perfect choice for a Thanksgiving dinner. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, and subtle notes of allspice and clove. On the palate the wine has rich flavors of cherry, dark chocolate and raspberry pie. With flavors of cherry, berry, and dark chocolate the 2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is another great Bennett Lane choice. Lastly, their 2016 Lynch Family Cabernet displalys rich cherry, berry and gingerbread, and has incredible balance and a mouthwatering finish. Check out the Bennett Lane Cabernet here.
Dama Wines Cabernet Franc
Dama Wines is created, owned, and managed by women. Speaking of women, check out my blog post on The Best Female Winemakers in California You Need To Know. The Cabernet Franc is rich in texture with lingering notes of espresso beans and dark chocolate. This wine is elegant and beautiful from the first sip to the last.
Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot
The Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot is one of the best Merlot’s I have tasted and featured on my blog in The Best Merlot Wine to Enjoy Now. With notes of cherry and black raspberry, to a long vibrant finish of chocolate covered raspberry hints.
Grosgrain Vineyards Syrah
Morgan Winery Pinot Noir
Morgan winery has a delicious Pinot Noir that I absolutely adore. I’ve learned so much about Morgan Winery after Interviewing Winemaker Sam Smith of Morgan Wines. The Pinot Noir has an intense flavor with bright acidity, and notes of black plum and toasty oak.
PEJU Napa Valley Merlot
The PEJU Napa Valley Merlot is layered with multiple wine greets and a great choice for the Holiday Season. It has bright flavors that include dried cherries, raspberries, white pepper, and savory notes. It has great tannin and textures that leave a delicious finish. Learn more about PEJU on my recent IG Live with Winemaker Sara Howell and Lisa Peju, watch that on my Instagram TV Channel here.
Rombauer Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The Rombauer Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep purple wine with a bright fuchsia rim. It contains aromas of cherries, spice, and oak, along with raspberry and black cherry flavor.
I recently got more familiar with Rombauer Vineyards this Fall (Fall of 2021) when I had the pleasure of joining them for Harvest. Read all about that amazing and educational Harvest experience on the blog here.
Sangiacomo Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
The Sangiacomo Sonoma Coast Chardonnay has aromas of baked apple and pear crisp, following white rose petal and French oak. This Chardonnay boasts a delicious richness of caramelized apple flavors with a crisp and clean finish.
Trombetta Pinot Noir
The rich and delicious Trombetta Pinot Noir has dark ripe blue and black fruit, fresh plum, and pomegranate. It sits perfectly on the palate ending with a bright acid finish. This is one of the most smooth, elegant Pinot Noir Wines that I’ve had in ages and I adore it.
