I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stockholm and had an amazing time. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the local culinary scene which I always LOVE to do. For me picking where to dine during a stay is just as important if not more than the hotel.
Follow along to see The Best Stockholm Restaurants to Try During Your Visit.
Asian Post Office
A chic restaurant with some of the best Asian dishes in the city, Asian Post Office is a fantastic restaurant to experience. A fun and modern restaurant with a gorgeous aesthetic is in the heart of Stockholm. The food is plated aesthetically as well and is perfect for adding to Instagram. Sadly I didn’t get a chance to visit during my stay but it came highly recommended by my concierge whose recommendations were perfect so I trust this is also a MUST-see! Farang
If you’re in the city and craving something other than Swedish food, Farang is a great choice to try. Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Indonesian flavors make Farang so unique. Great, authentic food for everyone to enjoy. We went with my Mom to celebrate her birthday and it was quite a scene. Our server Patrick was PHENOMENAL and so was the food and the setting. Another MUST try! Tulegatan 7, 113 53 Stockholm, Sweden
We enjoyed the most delicious Curry which was very shareable and perfect for 3. They have a Prix Fixe menu (which was placed in front of us without any explanation) which is $75 USD (or so per person) but we had more than enough food on the price fixe if you’re not super hungry and want to keep the meal a bit less pricey.
My Mom, Robert, and I. We were in Scandinavia for my Mom’s Belated 70th (delayed due to COVID) so what a treat getting to celebrate her altogether in Sweden after a week in Norway together with our family!
Hantverket
A chic warehouse with a twist, Hantverket offers classic modern cuisine with a variety of flavors for guests to try. Another spot for wine lovers, the restaurant has an extensive list to choose from. This was probably my FAVORITE meal of Stockholm. The energy here felt like a New York City vibe. The food was creative, gorgeous, and delicious. I also loved sitting at the bar and watching the team cook. This is hands down a MUST visit during a trip, even if you only have 2 nights spend one of them here. Sturegatan 15a, 114 36 Stockholm, Sweden

We dined at the chef’s counter (the way to go) and got to know the team. On the left was our server Tobin (who had been here since they opened), same with the Line Cook Jan.
Restaurant Konstnärsbaren
Restaurant Konstnärsbaren is an adorable Nordic Cuisine restaurant that has been around for decades. With original furniture, this 1930s vintage restaurant is one of the oldest in the city. We ran out of time this trip so didn’t get to dine here but my friend who’s Swedish highly recommends it as one of the most historic and authentic restaurants in Stockholm. Smålandsgatan 7, 111 46 Stockholm, Sweden
Lila Ego
A fun and contemporary Swedish restaurant that is worth visiting is Lila Ego. Award-winning chefs create spectacular Swedish food accompanied by a rustic theme and bar to enjoy drinks with your meal. Västmannagatan 69, 113 26 Stockholm, Sweden
