San Francisco Holiday & New Years Eve Dining

With Christmas just a few weeks away and New Years Eve shortly after for this in town I’m compiled a list of dining and evening (drinking and parties) options to share with you. Hopefully this will make it easy to plan a fabulous Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Years Eve Celebration. Happy dining and happy holidays to you!!

Bluestem Brasserie – An urban neighborhood restaurant located on Yerba Buena Lane in San Francisco, will be open be open on Saturday, December 24 from 11am-11pm. The restaurant will be serving their complete Bluestem brunch and dinner menus along with a few festive additions for the holiday. Also, guests can partake in some of Bluestem’s special holiday cocktails – all inspired by movies of the season – such as Filthy Animal (inspired by Home Alone), a play on a boozy root beer float with Black Rum and Galliano; Two Sizes Too Small (inspired by the Grinch), a herbaceous cocktail with sage infused Calvados, mint, vodka, and apple juice; Jack Skellington (inspired by Nightmare before Christmas), a scotch based Manhattan with cinnamon clove syrup; and more.

Now a seasonal favorite of Bluestem Brasserie’s regulars, Aunt Chrystl’s Hot Austrian Punsch has returned for the holiday season and will be available through Christmas Eve. This cozy punsch is a served warm and includes house made stroh rum, red wine, orange juice, and seasonal spices.

Bob’s Steak & Chop House has created a massive gingerbread house that is currently installed in the Omni Hotel lobby! The gingerbread house is made from 40 sheets of gingerbread, 30 lbs of candy, and took 7 people 2 months to build! A picture of the gingerbread house is attached.

Celebrate Christmas Eve at the festive Top of the Mark with the city of San Francisco twinkling in the background. Christmas EveCelebrate Christmas Eve at Roka Akor (801 Montgomery St.) and enjoy dinner prepared with the season’s best ingredients and a Japanese twist. From 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Roka Akor will offer an indulgent, four-course tasting menu that is designed to be shared alongside the full dinner menu on December 24. Presidio Social Club – December is here, and Presidio Social Club Pastry Chef Rene Cruz, a 2015 Zagat “30 Under 30” winner, is making his famous pies to-go again through the holiday season.  Serving 8-10 people and available for pre-order now, pie flavors include: Classic Pumpkin Pie; Pumpkin “Pie” Cheesecake; Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie; and Toasted Coconut Cream Pie($40/each).
