Location means everything when choosing a place to produce wines. Taking into consideration the temperatures, seasons and climates, can make or break the perfect flavor wine. When talking about Syrah Wines, you want that rich and spicy flavor making a perfect balance. There are so many Syrah Wines that I love, but the Central Coast is a different kind of taste that is just fantastic! J Lohr
This family-owned Paso Robles winery creates some of the richest red wines due to its central coast location. You’ll definitely want to try J Lohr’s delicious Syrah wine. Lindquist
Lindquist Family Wines has a great 2017 Syrah for only $22. This wine displays ripe fruit aromas and flavors. Love & Terroir
Located on the edge of Sta. Rita Hills, the cool-climate gives the great taste of the Love & Terroir Syrah Wines smoke and berry flavors. Their Syrah Wine costs $30 which is a great price for the fabulous wine. See the Love & Terroir website here to try it yourself.
Melville Winery
Located in Buellton, Melville Winery is a Santa Barbara gem that makes some of the most lovely, small batch, vineyard and AVA specific wines in the Sta. Rita Hills region. The delicious Melville Syrah Wine is $35 and a great addition to any wine night or gathering. The intense and rich flavors of spice, dark cocoa bean and smoked sea salt come through immediately. Morgan Winery
Morgan Winery is a family owned winery in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Their 2018 Santa Lucia Highland’s Syrah for only $25 has great and rich flavors that you’d expect in a deep red wine. Blackberry, white pepper, graphite, and hints of smoked meat jump out of the glass.
Rusack Winery
The beautiful blend of aromas and berries in this Syrah will leave you wanting another glass. The Rusack Vineyard has a delicious 2016 Syrah that you can purchase for $35 to enjoy any day. This bottling contains classic Ballard Canyon aromas of cassis and blackberry, with hints of licorice. Concentrated flavors of dried cherries, blackberries and cocoa mix with velvety tannins that linger on the palate.
Tablas Creek
The Tablas Creek Le Complice (which is a Syrah blend) perfectly represents the richness and spice of the Central Coast of California. This wine has a dark purple-black color, with flavors of blackberry and black raspberry, smoke, bacon fat, and black pepper.
