The lovely front porch where guests can relax as they wait for their treatment or upon completing their treatment.
Upon arriving, guests are welcomed in the tea room where they enjoy these stunning views paired with tea to set the mood before the Cedar Treatment.
This is the Cedar Bath Treatment bath, and the Osmosis Spa is the only Spa in the United States where you can experience this treatment. Typically it’s found in Japan where it originates from.
“This fermentation bathing ritual involves immersing your entire body in a mixture of soft and fragrant ground cedar and rice bran with living enzymes that stimulate metabolic activity inside and out.
The warm and fragrant treatment offers myriad health benefits, from improving circulation to relieving joint and muscle pain, and the living enzymes deeply and thoroughly clean your skin, leaving your entire body exuding a radiant glow.”
Views as I sat in the bath letting the Cedar Bath treatment penetrate my system. You sit for approximately 20 minutes as the treatment penetrates your system. After each minute it’s warmer and warmer. Luckily the spa technician brings you water (in a straw) to help cool you off. They also suggest if your body is getting too hot to uncover yourself from the cedar chips to let the air cool you off. I did that about five minutes into the treatment.
As I first settled in I was deeply buried within the cedar. After a few minutes, I quickly started getting really HOT so I took the advice of my technician and unburied myself a bit from the cedar bath.
Upon completing the bath you are given a scrub brush where you step outside and literally spend 10-15 minutes scrubbing the cedar off your body. I then took a very long thorough shower where I continued to clean the cedars off my body as I showered preparing for my next treatment which was a massage. After leaving the Cedar bath and shower I was greeted with a glass of mineral water.

Time for a massage. This was the perfect conclusion to my afternoon treatment.
After my treatments, I took advantage of their gorgeous gardens taking a stroll to relax, take in these sights and continue to decompress. This spa is really a destination you can come for hours and never leave….
Heading out after a relaxing afternoon at Osmosis Spa. Not only was this treatment like no other I’ve experienced, but their gardens and the relaxation area guests can enjoy before or after treatment is also really something else. I loved the Japanese Rock Garden and the peace it evoked during my visit. Until next time….
Thanks to the Osmosis Day Spa for hosting me for this afternoon of spa treatments. As always, even if I’m hosting I only write about experiences I enjoy and believe are fabulous and want to share with my readers.
