The Beyond Impressive Knights Bridge Winery

Knights Bridge Winery is a Winery that I first learned about through their generous involvement in Meals on Wheels San Francisco. I serve on the Steering Committee for the MOWSF Annual Gala and Knights Bridge has been a generous donor for as long as I can remember.

After being familiar with Knights Bridge I was thrilled when I moved to Healdsburg and was invited to the winery for a tasting. My sister and brother-in-law were in town and I thought they’d be the perfect guests to accompany me in visiting Knights Bridge Vineyards.

Located on 50 acres of hillside vineyards in Knights Valley, Knights Bridge is a family-owned winery producing exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon by Winemaker Derek Baljeu.

Knights Bridge vineyard is nestled on the west side of Knights Valley, the warmest appellation in Sonoma County. The Winery was created with the primary goal of producing world-class wines. Knights Bridge Winery is guided by a deep respect for nature, a passion for fine wines, and a dedication to family and friends.

Arriving to Knights Bridge Winery it is hard to tell from the front how impressive this gorgeous Winemaking facility and Wine Tasting Salon (both designed by legendary Architect Howard Backen) really are. Follow along below to see this gorgeous winery and learn why you need to plan a visit to Knights Bridge Winery next time you’re looking for a world-class hospitality experience with delicious wines, rich family history, and gorgeous views.

Knights-Bridge Winery is family owned (which I LOVE). Speaking of which, read more about my favorite Napa Family-Owned Wineries to get to know on the blog here!

Upon arriving to Knights Bridge we toured the gorgeous production cave admiring these one-of-a-kind gorgeous concrete eggs (which were custom made with the gorgeous Knight detailing and such).

After touring the production room we were guided through the cave to this stunning space where we enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc paired with a salmon bite. There really is a surprise at every corner during this visit to Knights Bridge Winery.

The stunning setting for the wine tasting & light culinary pairing experience. The room looks out onto the below gorgeous patio with the most interesting layered plantings adding the most vivid greenery and lush views as guests sit and sip on the lovely Knights Bridge Winery Wines. Perfection!

The lovely wine and food pairing. This experience is $150 per person, however, the fee is waived with a 6 or more bottle purchase.

This was the backdrop of my tasting during my visit. Truly the most gorgeous blue skies!

The lineup of Knights Bridge Wines. They make a Sauvignon Blanc, two Chardonnays and three Cabernet Sauvignon Blancs. I tried them all during the visit and truly enjoyed each one for different reasons.

The two Chardonnays are stylistically quite different. The East Block Chardonnay was lighter with lemon flavors, wet stone, and quite approachable. The West Block Chardonnay was the more rich and fuller of the two. Both are lovely for different types of Chardonnay drinkers.

Shown is the Library, another entertaining space where guests may enjoy the tasting experience. It also overlooks the gorgeous patio.

After our wine tasting we toured the library shown. What a stunning display of the library vintages. Every detail of Knights Bridge Winery was thought out by designer Howard Backen. It’s gorgeous.

The exterior view of the cave. It’s magnificent how it blends into the hillside and you barely notice it.

Me and Owners Kelley & Jim Bailey who joined us for the tasting portion of the visit. I’ve known Kelley for years, she’s amazing through her work at Jackson Family Wine’s Spire Collection. Their highest end portfolio with brands such as Capensis, Maggy Hawk to name a few. Kelley and Jim and their entire team are the most gracious and lovely hosts!

Thanks to Knights Bridge Winery for having me in to visit and sponsoring this blog post. As always, I only write about wineries & experiences I love and want to share with you. This was for sure a winery luxury travellers and wine lovers must experience!
