Wow! What a fabulous weekend. I feel spoiled that I was able to attend last weekend’s Cochon Heritage Fire which was unbelievable. 50 Chefs 3,000 pounds of heritage breed animals alongside wines from California and Germany.
Below you’ll find highlights of the event including the amazing food I enjoyed, American & German Wines & Magnolia Brewery’s Beers.
Event Location: Charles Krug Winery, 2800 Main Street. St. Helena, CA. 94574

The party is starting….. You’re not messing around when you arrive to a BBQ with 50+ Chefs, various local wineries & Magnolia Brewery. My kind of Sunday Funday!!
The gorgeous gardens at The Charles Krug Winery. Perfect setting for the event.
Cochon 555 Founder Brady Lowe. Super nice guy clearly with an amazing Culinary vision.
Some delicious German Riesling I enjoyed. Extremely crisp, tasty and perfect for a hot summer day!
Hello Mr. Piggy
It wouldn’t be a fabulous food festival with out amazing Chef Matthew Accarrino of San Francisco’s SPQR (stay tuned for my upcoming video interview with Chef Matthew)
The gorgeous Williams-Sonoma VIP table
Chef Tyler Florence (watch my book signing video with him here) serving it up at the Williams-Sonoma VIP table
My favorite dish at the event. We waited about 15 minutes as these were grilled (above picture) but it was sooooo worth the wait (unfortunately I don’t know which Chef is responsible for this AMAZINGNESS) if it’s you please come forward so I can properly credit you!!
Delicious Magnolia Brewery Beers. My favorite is the Kalifornia Kolsch, the perfect pairing for some BBQ!
The salad was quite a nice change in scenery from all the meat we’d been enjoying throughout the event.
One of the most popular tables at the event, in order to enjoy the meat you had to catch it off the fish pole.
Such delicious options, where do you start?
RN74’s delicious Rib. I loved the combo of Rib with crunchy flakes, cheese, onion and tomatoes. Seconds please!
Press’s Junior Chef serving their delicious Puerto Rican Chorizzo
Some yummy sliders
Thanks again Chefs, Wineries, Magnolia Brewery and the entire Cochon 555 Team (Brady, Laiko…) for making this amazing event happen. It was one of the most delicious, relaxing, fun Sunday Funday’s I can remember. I am already looking forward to next year’s event!!
