For many of us, pets are a part of our family, but it can be challenging to find hotels that accommodate our furry friends. Bringing my Frenchie Ernestine with me is really important when I travel, so follow along to learn about The Best Dog-Friendly Luxury Sonoma Hotels.
Planning to visit Sonoma soon? Check out my blog, The Best Dog-Friendly Wineries.
Boon Hotel + Spa
Another amazing dog-friendly hotel I’ve had the pleasure of visiting is Boon Hotel. This hotel + Spa is great as they have glamping and more traditional rooms/cabins (where I stayed during my visit). It has more of a Guerneville vibe to in (meaning more chill) and the rooms are nice with great amenities, but it’s not the same as say a Montage Healdsburg or Les Mars 5-star hotel experience. Regardless, I adore Boon Hotel + Spa and for the price point, the great location, and all that guests enjoy here know you’ll love it too. And you can bring your Pup which always makes a hotel stay that much better. Enjoy access to their amazing pool, spa, bikes, and their great amenities. 14711 Armstrong Woods Rd, Guerneville, CA 95446
The hotel also has bikes that guests can borrow to ride to town (about 10 mins away) and explore the area. It’s such a stunning part of Sonoma County you really could get lost adventuring!
Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
The Fairmont and Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is an amazing place with dog-friendly accommodations. Aside from the gorgeous Mission-inspired architecture, you’ll also really love their fabulous pools. 100 Boyes Blvd, Sonoma, CA 95476
The Fairmont Sonoma is the perfect way to pamper yourself and your furry friends. There are many pet amenities such as dog beds, bowls, acres of lawns, and nearby trails for the walk.
Whilst I enjoyed the spa, Ernestine made the most of the dog treats available at the concierge.
H2Hotel
H2Hotel is a chic, modern stay that’s welcoming of pets with plenty of great restaurant experiences right around the corner. This is a great place for you and your dog if you decide to visit! 219 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg, CA 95448
Beautiful architecture and welcoming staff makes for a great visit! You are welcomed with a dog bed and bowl to feel at home.

Hotel Healdsburg
My pup Ernestine and I love to visit the Hotel Healdsburg. It’s perfect for you both to have an amazing and relaxing stay. 25 Matheson St, Healdsburg, CA 95448
Check out my blog post on The Best Healdsburg Local Spots to check out when staying.
Hotel Petaluma
Hotel Petaluma is a beautiful hotel so close to amazing artsy and cultural hotspots and best of all you’re only a stone’s throw from over 400 wineries in Sonoma and Napa! Of course, if you’re going to bring your pet you’ll need to know about all the Dog-Friendly Wineries in Sonoma and Napa. 205 Kentucky St, Petaluma, CA 94952
Kenwood Inn & Spa
My stay at the beautiful Kenwood Inn was absolutely amazing. Ernie & I stayed here in the summer and made us feel at home. They only have one dog-friendly room, so make sure to call the inn to find out the availability! 10400 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood, CA 95452
Ernestine really enjoyed this rustic, grand entrance. No quality time was missed with my pup Ernestine.
Madrona Hotel Healdsburg
Ernie relaxing on the gorgeous wrap around porch at Madrona Healdsburg.
Montage Healdsburg
Montage Healdsburg is another super friendly Luxury Sonoma dog-friendly hotel. So much so that they have their own hotel dog, Bea (who belongs to the amazing Hotel GM Allen and his family). Ernie and I had the privilege of staying at Montage Healdsburg during the summer of 2022 and were blown away. Read all about our stay on the blog here!
Beau who is the Montage Healdsburg’s Hotel dog and super cute, friendly and personable!
The Montage team was beyond welcoming of Ernie and she was spoiled with pets throughout our stay!
Ernie settled into her bed at Montage Healdsburg. Their dog provisions included a bed, bowls and a gift bag with goodies from the fabulous Fideaux Healdsburg like this Rose toy! Ernie was thrilled.
Nick’s Cove
Ever since moving to the Bay Area, I heard people rave about the gorgeous Nick’s Cove for a long time, and I can confirm it is beautiful and heavenly to stay at. These beautiful cabins have a magical character and they are literally on the edge of the water with your deck suspended over the bay. 23240 CA-1, Marshall, CA 94940
The interior décor is incredible with no detail missed, from the adorable mini bar to the wood burning fireplace to the heated bathroom floor.
Upon checking in you’re offered a welcome snack, either oysters or a cheese plate, how dreamy!
They also have a pastry chef who bakes their own signature healthy dog-treats direct from the kitchen.
Olea Hotel
On my recent trip to Glen Ellen, I stayed at the Olea Hotel which is a super-luxe boutique hotel that’s dog-friendly. Olea Hotel sits on the hillside of Sonoma Valley where the views of the valley are picture-perfect. 5131 Warm Springs Rd, Glen Ellen, CA 95442

Stavrand Hotel
You’re guaranteed to have a beautiful and luxurious stay when visiting The Stavrand Hotel in Guerneville. Located in the Russian River Valley, there is so much to do from wine, food, and hiking. They also treated my Ernestine like royalty while we stayed here which made it that much more special. The rooms are super chic and recently renovated, the grounds are gorgeous and the team and service is wonderful. Did I mention they have a FABULOUS pool too? That’s hard to find in the Guerneville area so keep this gem at the top of your list. Continue reading about The Lovely Stavrand Hotel here.

Ernie settled in with her bed, dog treats, and bowls. This was all courtesy of the hotel. Love it when they make it sooo easy to travel with your pet.
Wildhaven
Wildhaven is a one-of-a-kind glamping experience right here in Sonoma. For those who don’t know, “glamping” stands for “glamorous camping,” which means all the fun of camping without the bugs, dirt, and tasteless food. If you want to be a little more adventurous with your travel, I highly recommend giving glamping a shot. 2411 Alexander Valley Road, Healdsburg.

This was one of the most relaxing experiences ever and so nice to get back to nature, unplug and unwind and there were plenty of dogs there who were having the best time too! 2411 Alexander Valley Rd, Healdsburg, CA 95448
