Being a Pacific Heights local (for the first five years of living in San Francisco), Fillmore Street is one of my favorite spots to dine. As a result, I’m constantly asked what are the best spots to visit. Here is a list of my Top 10 favorite Eats on Fillmore Street. I hope you enjoy discovering new places and dining within this San Francisco get of a neighborhood. It’s super charming, quaint and has plenty of options for every mood, budget or setting you may want.
Noosh
The newest arrival to Fillmore Street is Noosh, an Eastern Mediterranean Restaurant. I had the pleasure of attending their media preview and was blown away by the stunning space, the swanky bar which is so inviting with cocktails so tasty it’s hard to leave, plus of course the rich flavorful Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. What I loved about Noosh was not only the tasty food, by Chefs Laura & Sayit Ozyilmaz but the colorful take on the food. The entire experience from the casual yet playful serving wear to the delicious food and vibrant setting feels fresh, new and exciting! 2001 Fillmore Street, San Francisco.

The Snug
The newest spot on this list is The Snug which opened in 2018 and is amazing. This is both great for dining, their brunch is to die for (read more about that here) and for cocktails. They’re on my San Francisco Top 10 Best Cocktail list here and after you visit you’ll know why!
Dosa Restaurant
Dosa Restaurant is one of the most beloved Indian Restaurants in San Francisco, not only for their flavorful food but the vibe and their amazing cocktails and wine list. Read more about Dosa here and watch my interview with Dosa Owner Anjan Mitra here.
Owners Anjan and Emily Mitra and Chef Arun.
SPQR
For the most amazing Italian on Fillmore Street visit SPQR. This is also perfect for a date night or dinner with your parents as it’s on the pricier side but totally worth it and a spot you will want to back many many times to. Read more about SPQR here and watch my interview with their Chef, Matthew Accarinno here.
Statebird Provisions
Statebird Provisions is hands down the most creative culinary cuisine on Fillmore Street. I love to eat at the Chef’s counter (for a party of two) or if larger reserve a table and plan for one of the most magical meals of your lifetime!
The Progress
Another culinary gem from the team behind State Bird Provisions is The Progress which you must try! They also have a great bar so be sure to hit up their bar for a cocktail if you’re dining with them or Statebird Provisions as you wait! Read more about The Progress here.
Pizzeria Delfina
Pizzeria Delfina is fabulous to eat in or carry out, this is the best pizza you can get on Fillmore Street! Also plan to wait if you dine in as it’s always super popular. But swing by, add your name to the list, go grab a drink and before you know it you’ll be seated!
Merchant Roots
Merchant Roots is a gourmet grocer by day, and (soon) fine dining by night. The fine dining will only be Thursday – Saturday evenings. This is a spot on lower Fillmore (just down the block from State Bird) which I adore. Chef Ryan and partner Madison (business and life partners) are the best! They always showcase a stunning chic setting paired with amazing food. Plus, there’s a unique delicious wine list and a great experience for guests!

For some of the best salads on Fillmore, a fun lively vibe or a great spot for breakfast or a coffee check out Jane on Fillmore Street. They also have amazing cookies so any cookie monsters, save room and enjoy those too!
Bun Mee
For some of the yummiest Bun Mee check out Bun Mee. It’s super casual order at the counter and sit or take it to go but this is always a solid spot for a quick, flavorful bite!
Roam
For some of the yummiest burgers in a super casual setting check out Roam. It’s great for a casual dinner with friends, family, or even just a french fry and milkshake. Their milkshakes are amazing!
