As someone who travels to Napa and Sonoma’s Wine Country quite often it can get repetitive doing the same tasting experience at each Winery. So, you can imagine my excitement when I learned that Ehler’s Estate offers something a bit unique and different from most of the experiences I have enjoyed in Napa Valley. Ehlers Estate offers an early morning tasting paired with breakfast. Enjoy estate grown and produced wines in our 1886-era stone barn accompanied by freshly baked croissants from Yountville’s famed Bouchon Bakery. Take a stroll through our organic estate and sample a future release.

During the visit we tasted through four Ehlers Estates wines, the Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and 1886 Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1886 Cabernet Sauvignon is their most special, coveted Cabernet Sauvignon vintage. I really loved the Merlot and am not typically a Merlot drinker. I found it extremely smooth, balanced and just lovely!  Of course, The Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc were also beautiful, however, that is to be expected and the lovely Merlot exceeding my expectations made that a favorite for me.
